Same diff really, though. But nothing new, since the whole football players (who gives a sh!t what football players think on politics? I don’t but a lot of the moronic American public does, apparently) being suspended for their political or sans political views/activity.

Indicates the same problem, and it’s not looking like the USA anymore. We aren’t a perfect country, but one of the good things was being able to hold a political ideology or support a candidate openly without being punished.

He was just correcting me- somewhere between reading Billie’s post and hitting reply, I transposed the issue. He was suspended from his cycling team, not Twitter, nor were his Tweets censored. Aug was just gently correcting my thick morning brain.

He was NOT suspended from Twitter

He was basically kicked out of his job, out of his work, which was on a cycling team.
He was suspended from his job.

You still can. You just can't go against social media contracts.

You also can't expect to post controversial opinions, or even controversial facts on social media, and not expect people to react.

Everyone in the U.S. is still able to hold whatever political views they want.

The point:

He was suspended from his job, his work, which was riding on a cycling team.

He was suspended FROM HIS JOB because and only because he acknowledged he was a Trump supporter.

The words they suspended him for as "offensive and divisive" were "bye" and "that's right".

Someone had to report it to the team and he was suspended
because he plans to vote for Trump
and that was enough to get him suspended from this job, his work.

THE Point:

If someone plans to vote for Trump and liberals/Democrats discover it,
they will attempt to get that person fired from their job as "offensive and divisive"
because and only because they plan to vote for Trump or did vote for Trump.

This is all too common these days
which is why all the polls are likely wrong .

No "Trumper" in their right mind
would tell any reporter or pollster the truth
or risk a Democrat trying to get them
fired from their job - or worse.

This is what the US has come to,
this is what the Democrats have resorted to,
sheer terrorism of the population
in an attempt to win the election.

No, this probably isn't exactly why he was suspended. It would have been the same if any member of the team responded to any journalist on social media about anything controversial without PR clearance.

He would have known this, yet he chose to do it anyways. This isn't about republicans v democrats, it's about PR spin and sponsorship money.
