Why l think Trump will show the soft side of him in the debate

I'd say Trump's best bet is to go easy ...

He's debating somebody with a fan-culture of victim-hood.
People who believe that wrong words are the same as physical violence.

So the danger is, the more Trump actually wins an argument, the more the other side can cower, and imply: "I'm a victim, stop oppressing me - you big orange bully!"

In that sense, a debate will merely reinforce the notions that already exist.

The unemployment figure is not the medium income figure.

Consider that Social Security and similar benefits are usually at subsistence levels whereas wage and salary are significantly more.

Also, a business that divests itself of staff will remain profitable for some time, earning similar to what it earned previously but without having to pay the wages of the retrenched staff. So, on a whole 'income as an aggregate' figure does not rise as sharply as unemployment and may take months to show an impact on aggregate poverty levels.

Similarly, census data is not as immediate as unemployment figures generated by registrations for unemployment benefits.

The graph I showed previously was of unemployment levels by year.
