Reading comprehension isn’t you Trump guys strongest suit. In ten of the 15 years before becoming President Trump paid no taxes. He paid no taxes because he’s a tax cheat, and yes, not as rich as he claims. But don’t make excuses for him, just say you don’t care like you guys done care about any of his transgressions. And stop pretending like he’s for the little guy, or ran for President at his own financial cost. He needed the publicity because all he has is name. He has no business acumen.

Who cares? He didn't commit any crimes, he's been audited a dozen times. He doesn't have cash assets, big deal. Investments, property, IP and other non-taxed assets disagree with what you say.

Just take a walk over to Trump tower or any of his many properties, hotels, casinos, golf courses, etc.

I don't think they are called clearances, you get into the area of compartmental "need to know" and that limits who gets to see what. There are areas he can not look at unless he is "read" into the program, but there is nothing saying he can't be read in outside of maybe conspiracies suggesting he can't due to higher than the President secrets. I been on programs where everyone had the same clearance of TS SBI or TS1/14 which really comes down to the level of the back ground checks, but we were read into different programs so at times I would need to leave the room or others even higher level than me would need to leave and I stay. At one point I had 5 or 6 clearances because every agency typically does their own even if you already have one, or even a higher one. Like Yankee White clearance which means you can be next to the President without an escort. It comes down to the back ground check to get it and is more compartmental than a level.

One of the best explanations of security clearance I've ever seen. This should be required reading when people sign up here.

Point to the part where he "cheated," ie. broke the law. I'll wait.

New York Times couldn't even bring themselves to allege any of it was illegal. In fact, several times throughout the article, they said the tax filings appeared legitimate. There's only one year that's under dispute, and the IRS has been studying it for 10 years trying to find a violation and hasn't been able to.

This petty stuff is gonna actually help him because you guys just look pathetic and crying about spilled milk. You've spent 5 years crying over nothing instead of attacking him on policy.

Faulty comparison. There is known fraud in the welfare system. There's no fraud in this story. Everything he did was legal.

You're assuming poor people draw a wage that's under the level that's taxable. You assume they work for others?

Even so they'd be taxed just not directly on income.

i think a lot of people like to have air of importance that "i pay my taxes" and a lot of businesses do and self employed, investors etc
but the average person who is married and has even one child will pay nothing up to about 50k or a little more in federal income tax (state taxes is a different game) and if you are married around the 30k mark with a child you will be getting a credit back quite a lot.
my brother who only worked occasionally as a construction worker one year probably around 2012ish (finally he has a stable job now at 41)
he got 12k back in his tax return because he had 4 children and made less then 10k for the year.. plus food and money assistance from the state which i cannot recall the exact amount but i believe it totaled between $800 a month in food and cash benefits. plus they got some of their kids on SSI
