Great OP

The fact he paid the bare minimum tax possible isn't a surprise.

I didn't want to pay 1$ in tax under the sham O'biden administration

Only a complete moron gives away more of THEIR money than what they absolutely can get away with.

Does anyone else here not try to get their tax liability under 0 or positive? That's what I thought.

THE REAL BEAUTY IS THE FACT THESE WERE ILLEGALLY LEAKED.

It proves, once again, Trump's narrative that some nebulous conspiracy is going on with the goal of "getting him" The leakers are just too pathetic, short sighted and unintelligent to realize that. Not to mention that it disproves every single narrative surrounding his taxes. I never heard them allege "He barely pays the minimum required according to a tax code he didn't write" Hah, what failures

Congrats, you just openly sided with the swamp.

You're defending the kind of super rich people who wouldn't pee on you if you were on fire. When did you give up on your principles?

Keep protecting and defending the super rich why don't you. Honestly you people are so anti American it's unbelievable.

If you're against the "super rich" there's no way in hell you'd support the Democrat party. Nice try.

Ironically, that thread is being ignored by our left wing members. I wonder if fencesitter will be posting there challenging our left-wing members to set aside their politics and admit that was wrong?

Somehow, I doubt it.

These people repeatedly make fools of themselves by posting dishonestly and they just cannot stop. They don't know how to do anything else.

I've literally just said it's wrong whoever does it. The difference is the alt-right haven't agreed that it's wrong that Trump is a tax dodger. As usual it's just whataboutism.

I'm utterly exhausted at telling you shills that I am not pro Biden.

Now do you or do you not agree with my premise above.

Please highlight to me where I've chosen a side.

Nice try.

Once again you can't bring yourself to address your own partisan hypocrisy and agree it's messed up that your potus is a major tax dodger.

That's the difference between you and me. But then I'm not as insecure as you cult members who can't see past your own desperate need to "win" despite backing a three legged blind horse.

I'm still waiting for just ONE Trump supporter to grow a spine and say "I still support him, but yes I agree it's messed up that he's such a tax dodger"

You don't have to support every single thing he does to still be a supporter. That's called being a sheep.

Reading comprehension isn’t you Trump guys strongest suit. In ten of the 15 years before becoming President Trump paid no taxes. He paid no taxes because he’s a tax cheat, and yes, not as rich as he claims. But don’t make excuses for him, just say you don’t care like you guys done care about any of his transgressions. And stop pretending like he’s for the little guy, or ran for President at his own financial cost. He needed the publicity because all he has is name. He has no business acumen.

Who cares? He didn't commit any crimes, he's been audited a dozen times. He doesn't have cash assets, big deal. Investments, property, IP and other non-taxed assets disagree with what you say.

Just take a walk over to Trump tower or any of his many properties, hotels, casinos, golf courses, etc.

Again, there just isn't any "there" there. As we said all along, he was trolling you guys.

FYI, most conservatives applaud folks getting away with the bare minimum taxes possible. You pay extra.........? So government can pay for abortion and sex change operations no thanks

He followed the tax law, that makes him a tax cheat! I suppose following the law against selling drugs makes me a kingpin as well.

Quick, he paid less taxes than the dems! That makes him smarter than them and therefore a threat

10 more clearences there-a-bouts...above the Pres.

Them too?

I don't think they are called clearances, you get into the area of compartmental "need to know" and that limits who gets to see what. There are areas he can not look at unless he is "read" into the program, but there is nothing saying he can't be read in outside of maybe conspiracies suggesting he can't due to higher than the President secrets. I been on programs where everyone had the same clearance of TS SBI or TS1/14 which really comes down to the level of the back ground checks, but we were read into different programs so at times I would need to leave the room or others even higher level than me would need to leave and I stay. At one point I had 5 or 6 clearances because every agency typically does their own even if you already have one, or even a higher one. Like Yankee White clearance which means you can be next to the President without an escort. It comes down to the back ground check to get it and is more compartmental than a level.

One of the best explanations of security clearance I've ever seen. This should be required reading when people sign up here.

I have no problem with anyone following the law.

That's literally what Trump is accused of doing here.

Oh, and I'll add you to the growing list of "independent" members here who do nothing but spout Democrat talking points.

Poor people actually don't pay income tax. Get informed on the issue please. That's really being a tool, opining on an issue you don't know the first thing about.

Point to the part where he "cheated," ie. broke the law. I'll wait.

New York Times couldn't even bring themselves to allege any of it was illegal. In fact, several times throughout the article, they said the tax filings appeared legitimate. There's only one year that's under dispute, and the IRS has been studying it for 10 years trying to find a violation and hasn't been able to.

This petty stuff is gonna actually help him because you guys just look pathetic and crying about spilled milk. You've spent 5 years crying over nothing instead of attacking him on policy.

Faulty comparison. There is known fraud in the welfare system. There's no fraud in this story. Everything he did was legal.

Tycoons don't go to the poor house... A penny in hand is worth two in the pocket? Yeah man drain that swamp! 😂

Just remember your nation is accumulating record debt under a super successful economy. All before the covid outbreak.

You're too polarised by politics it's all defend the Trump and demonise the communist coward lefties.

Boring. I've seen more substance in the ether. Is that why you love the guy? Because when he feces the sun he casts no shadow?

You're assuming poor people draw a wage that's under the level that's taxable. You assume they work for others?

Even so they'd be taxed just not directly on income.

I'm starting to think there's no shadow with you 😂

I’m not sure, they’re probably rationalize it as some sort of tax fraud and use it against him, like the everyday Joe pays taxes but Trump doesn’t kinda deal.

The everyday Joe actually doesn't pay taxes

i think a lot of people like to have air of importance that "i pay my taxes" and a lot of businesses do and self employed, investors etc
but the average person who is married and has even one child will pay nothing up to about 50k or a little more in federal income tax (state taxes is a different game) and if you are married around the 30k mark with a child you will be getting a credit back quite a lot.
my brother who only worked occasionally as a construction worker one year probably around 2012ish (finally he has a stable job now at 41)
he got 12k back in his tax return because he had 4 children and made less then 10k for the year.. plus food and money assistance from the state which i cannot recall the exact amount but i believe it totaled between $800 a month in food and cash benefits. plus they got some of their kids on SSI
