Nobody is struck by the fact that in the illustration the plane blends with the background?.

Considering the complexities of a swingwing I doubt they are going that way still compared to their flight advantages.

A lot has been corrected with contracts in recent years. More fixed price, demonstrator flights, classified testing, etc.

I am still not convinced until the military brass demands Lockheed fix the dam F-35s many outstanding problems rather that sending our people into combat with a severely less capable aircraft that we were sold on.

These Next Gen aircraft have been in testing for at least ten years have they not???

Over 95% of the F-35 issues ARE fixed, contrary to what the bad news sites would have you believe.

It's taking them a helluva long time to back engineer those Flying Saucers they captured at Roswell. One would think they could at least have sussed out the propulsion system. I mean, It's only been 75 years.

Let's just keep spending trillions of these primitive Mach 3, lol, kites.

Wait a minute, I'm starting to suspect it really was just weather balloons and it's all been a ruse designed to fool the public and have the enemy suspicious enough, to keep them wondering and worrying enough that they divert important manpower and send them on a wild goose chase from the get-go.

If this 6th gen can't do the Kessel run in under 15 parsecs I'm not interested.

I wouldn't say "soon" so much as "sooner than planned".
