I have seen so many people saying they believe that a civil War is imminent.
I think that is a word used do to the lack of a better one.
A civil war implies that one army stands off against another, North vs South.
We do not have 2 armies...... let alone even 1 army.
I believe we are heading towards a purge..... Towns on the left purging themselves of residents from the right
States on the Right..... purging themselves of citizens from the left
and in the end....what we will end up with is states separated into like minded individuals ....... instead of people with opposing views engaged in a never ending exchange of trying to force their will on each other.... election after election after election.
Conservative minded people being forced to live among liberal minded people is not good for either.
And if the true intention is to live a life of peace.... it can never be achieved by one trying to force the other to live by rules their rules.

You aren't getting a 'purge' either, everything is just big talk and no action.

At the end of the day, it's just sophistry and semantics, but their point is, this is an untenable situation. Something has to give, or something violent will happen on a large scale - not just the isolated pockets you see today.

People are *pissed off*. Really pissed off.

And like that line from the movie "Network":

"They're mad as hell and they aren't going to take it anymore".

Mark my words....

People have been pissed off from the Whiskey Rebellion forward without any stop and we're still here including having dealt with the War of Southern Depression.

it's time to face facts. The right is calm, calculated, and non aggressive. If we were going to do anything, we would have been preparing for months, instead, we comment on message boards. We will just wait for our leaders to send in the troops and fix all this like it should be fixed and order another pizza. I sometimes wish we weren't so docile, but then, it keeps me closer to my stuff.

Order me an extra pizza, I'll bring the beer. Then we can shoot the bottles from your porch and exercise our Second Amendment right to suppress an empty bottle uprising.

I am pretty much a docile feller...

I got a twelve gauge shotgun waitin' on the other side
So don't go pushin' me against my will
I don't want to have to hurt you but I damn sure will
If you don't want trouble then you'd better just pass me on by

Well I want in on this pizza and beer session too! That said, a few weeks ago me and two of my best friends decided to get away for a few days for some camping and fishing. We differ on many things, agree on some others. But being away from society for a few short days was healing. We didn't talk too much about the stuff going on or our differences, we just fished and drank a lot of whiskey. I wish so many in society could just do that.

A civil war implies that one army stands off against another,

False.

The First English Civil War 1642-46 didn't involve armies.

The belligerents where those who where loyal to The Monarchy and those who where acting to protect the right of Parliament.

en.wikipedia.org...

England didn't have an army until 1645, which was formed near the end of the civil war, known as " The New Model Army "

The New Model Army of England was formed in 1645 by the Parliamentarians in the English Civil War, and was disbanded in 1660 after the Restoration.

Yea, it cant end well. Problem is that the Leftists dont stay put. They ruin a city and then have to flee to the country because of the violence. Then of course, they try to take over the rural community and ruin it.

The news covers a handful of cities, mainly liberal ones. Even one of the biggest like Houston gets no coverage because nothing is going on over there to get ratings. Restaurants are open, businesses are open. Things never really shutdown. Fairly positive situation.

The news cycle drums and marching bands though overwhelmingly beat toward liberal cities. This gives a distorted perception of the entire country. Oh, the horror! Yeah, no. Those cities are not the entire country and in no way reflect reality. They cherry pick these same cities daily. Been doing it for months on end. Eventually people think wow, we are so messed up, heading to a civil war, the country is soo divided. No, it's just those cities that are screwed up and they are not even divided. They are screwed up liberal cities plagued by their own policies.

Consider the mess and mass loss of life on both sides that the American civil war brought about which is by far the greatest toll of any war in American history.

Now imagine the mess that would ensure in this day of age with modern weaponry and mass transit systems in place?

There won't be another American civil war unless you wish to end up all back of the bus for the foreseeable future on the world stage.

Simply counterproductive to maintaining control nevermind the accumulation of profit and monies.

I don’t want a damn war, but I will defend me and mine.

Wars are terrible and should be avoided.

This is different. Mark my words.

I hear people from all walks of life and political persuasions talking about it with a lot of emotion in their voices.

Not sure how we can measure it, but I'd be willing to bet $1000 things are going to get a lot worse before they get better.

You in?

As in the sentiment that people are mad as hell?

Becuae if so - hell yes! People are angry brother. Very angry.

I could be wrong, but I don't think so. Watch & see...

No it isn't, and if you understood anything about American history you'd now this wasn't even in the top 10.
