Last week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed that just 6% of the 169,000 deaths attributed to Covid-19, were caused solely by Covid-19. The other 94% of death certificates listed Covid-19 as just one of the potential contributors to the death of the individual.

The CDC rules/guidelines for labeling a deceased person as a "Covid-19 Death" are so broad, they are almost non-existent. A medical person can literally take anyone who dies, add "Covid-19" to the one of the "contributing to death" lines on the death certificate, and viola!, you have a Covid-19 death...No testing necessary.

Here is an excerpt from the final rule/guidance issued on 4/20/2020 from the CDC to Hospitals, Doctors, Coroners, etc..

In cases where a definite diagnosis of COVID–19 cannot be made, but it is suspected or likely, it is acceptable to report COVID–19 on a death certificate as “probable” or “presumed.”

In these instances, certifiers should use their best clinical judgement in determining if a COVID–19 infection was likely. However, please note that testing for COVID–19 should be conducted whenever possible.
See Page 2, Fifth Paragraph down on the left side, at: www.cdc.gov...

So if a person dies of a Heart Attack, the doctor can "presume" this person also had Covid-19. In which case, he/she would be added to the running total of Covid-19 deaths in the State/United States/Globally.

There are two primary motivations this year for death certifiers to generate as many "Covid-19 deaths" as they possibly can.

1.) Money from the massive ($2.2 Trillion) Covid-19 CARES Pandemic Rescue package passed by Congress last March.

2.) The belief that more deaths decreases the odds for President Trump's re-election this November.

The above two items/subjects already have ATS threads describing them in more detail.

Also, common sense says that the number of corrupt or crooked death certifiers is relatively small. Since 7,400 people die in this country every day, 365 days @ year, and we're now running at about 1,000 so-called "Covid-19" deaths per day, the vast majority of daily deaths are being labeled correctly.

But with 94% of the people listed as Covid-19 deaths having at least 1 other significant medical problem, it makes you wonder how many of the 169,000 "Covid-19 deaths" were destined to die anyway, or how much of a role Covid-19 played in their death. That is, if they did indeed have Covid-19.

Also, the CDC has begun combining Pneumonia & Influenza & Covid-19 deaths, in order to keep Covid-19 above the "Epidemic" threshold.

Lots of questions. Hopefully a big "911-style" blue-ribbon panel will be put together next year, to get all the answers.

I was wondering when the medical community was going to start looking at Covid-19 as a wonder cure.

After all, so far this year it appears to have cured heart disease since nobody dies from THAT anymore...

It has totally eradicated influenza deaths in America since nobody dies from THAT anymore...

Maybe it is a cure for cancer and old age too?

S&F for the OP and it just makes me mad that they are manipulating the numbers in such a blatantly obvious way for...

Political and monetary gain.

~sigh~

Pneumonia numbers are actually higher than Covid and that's confirmed or presumed on Covid cases compared to confirmed for pneumonia.

I think there was a thread on that yesterday.

What leaves me speechless is that this is the U.S. CDC, under Health and Human Services, which is under the President.

Right now that is Donald J. Trump.

His advisors must be telling him that the top people in the CDC are running the agency like they're on China's payroll.

When the Director of the CDC simply shrugged his shoulders and admitted to Congress that corrupt medical people are taking advantage of the loose CDC guidelines for Covid-19 death certification, that left me speechless as well.

But as you can see from this wording, the CDC is combing Pneumonia and Flu and Covid deaths, in order to keep Covid-19 deaths above the epidemic threshold:

Based on death certificate data, the percentage of deaths attributed to pneumonia, influenza, or COVID-19 (PIC) for week 34 was 7.9%, lower than the percentage during week 33 (12.3%), but above the epidemic threshold.

Maybe you forgot about Rod Rosensteins sister?

"Nancy Messonnier (née Rosenstein; born November 1965) is an American physician who serves as the director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She is working on the CDC response to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States."

You wouldn't believe how many people around here believe that all those deaths were because of coronavirus yet. Many have come around after people enlightened them, medical professionals are telling them not to believe those numbers they read in the news. This disease turned out to be less of a threat than originally thought, but the media is dragging it out to get people more reliant on them and the Democrats are using it as a political ploy.

It is bad for people at risk, but not for most people. Being that it is easily transmitted, caution should be taken by people though, masks and social distancing will stop the spread of many diseases. Being cautious is never bad, being fearful is always bad.

Pneumonia is a syndrome, not a disease. It is caused by various things, bacterial infections, influenza, and yes, COVID.

Sir, the problem with your arguement is that it doesnt matter if a pateint were to test positive for any of those other conditions if anyone bothered to test them at all. The emphasis is weighed heavily on a seemingly unreliable COVID test and if that test returns positive all other causes are out the window. Similar to the emphasis you just put on covid in your list.

So every one that dies with HIV is counted as an HIV death ?

Which tests are you referring to? Antigen tests can be problematic with false positives but make up a low percentage of all tests. For this reason, most places provide separate statistics for antigen and PCR testing.

Serious question - why would the federal gov offer so much money for each Covid-related hospitalization and/or death? Why is it incentivized so?

This is just so ridiculous to even say. No virus has ever been treated like the Covid.

No media hype, no shutdowns, no forced masks no mass testing of anyone and everyone,

Why didnt they do any of this with Sars or MERS or swine flu or H1N1.

It depends. Just as it does with COVID-19.

Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP) is a serious infection that causes inflammation and fluid buildup in your lungs. It's brought on by a fungus called Pneumocystis jirovecii that spreads through the air.

This fungus is very common. Most people’s immune systems have fought it off by the time they're 3 or 4 years old. But it can make people who have weakened immune systems, like from HIV, very sick.
www.webmd.com...

A person with this disease will die "from" PCP, but HIV is the reason.

SARS didn't make it to the US. MERS didn't either (except for 2 cases).

Swine flu (which is H1N1) is an influeza virus. We have influenza vaccines.

They are not paid for deaths but Medicare does pay more for COVID hospitalizations. You can thank Congress for authorizing it, overwhelmingly.

Robert Berenson, an institute fellow at the Urban Institute, said the notion that hospitals are profiting off the pandemic — as some of the social media posts may imply — isn’t borne out by facts, either.

Berenson said revenues appear to be down for hospitals this quarter because many have suspended elective procedures, which are key to their revenue, forcing some hospitals to cut staff. He surmised that potential instances of patients being wrongly “upcoded” — or classified as COVID-19 when they’re not — are “trivial compared to these other forces that are affecting hospital finances.”

The wuflu is most definitely NOT a ‘pandemic’

It’s innocuous

Take of the cuck mask and breath it in. You’ll get over it just fine.

So funny to see who bites the media hook

Pathetic

Actually, it is.

A pandemic (from Greek πᾶν, pan, "all" and δῆμος, demos, "people") is an epidemic of an infectious disease that has spread across a large region, for instance multiple continents or worldwide, affecting a substantial number of people.
