Lost Campfires CT2020 ..Non-writer

My first campfires were in Big Basin, in the mountains north of Santa Cruz
The campfire arena was cut out of fallen redwoods and sat a hundred or so.
We went there every summer until I was twelve.

Burned in the fires two days ago.

As a teen I spent my summers at Y camp where I lead the nightly campfires for several summers. along the Pescadero Creek, south of Half Moon Bay.

As a father I camped in the redwoods of Loma Mar every summer for a decade.
