I've been discovering those new features which are impressive!

My favorite is "that feature no longer available" which is a real time saver as far as tweaking the system goes. And I get to reinstall half the apps and programs every day or so which is pretty cool too.

Windows7 was the boss.

Everything after that was try hard user unfriendly crap.

I resisted 10 as long as possible!

When I finally succumbed, I found 10 was not so bad.....in fact much better and easier than I feared!
Some things are harder to navigate, but 7 is now a memory for me.....

Be honest , you have not tried Windows 10 yet , have you ?

I use Windows 10 now.

I just preferred 7.

7 was merely a start point (an alpha) for Windows 10
8 and 8.1 were betas for Windows 10

All 3 should be in the recycle bin of history with XP and Vista .

Windows 10 has its issues, but in some ways it is so far ahead of any previous version of Windows that there's not even a case to be made for previous versions.

Microsoft is finally getting it right....
After 30+years , finally a usable Windows that is great for gaming.

HAGS FTW

It certainly seems more stable than previous versions.
And Edge isn't as icky as IE was....I never liked that browser....going back at lest 20 years.

*cough* (masked) Get a Mac. *cough* (still masked)

Every since I bought a Mac 9 years ago I have had zero issues with updates, functionality, or anything else, and I used MS/PC from the early 90s onward until...around 2011. There was *always* an issue, periodically, from defragging, stalled processes, updates, to paying for support, viruses, general clunk/sluggishness.

ETA:

Not trying to derail or anything, but you seem to have a lot of issues. I did too, until I switched. I rarely go through that # anymore.

I'm guessing you have a bit of savvy with computers and know what you're doing for the most part, but the impression that Macs are trouble free is erroneous. They have their issues with updates, infections and more just like PC's do. That said, I like Macs and own one, though I need to get the failed hard drive replaced and get it back up and running.

No. I'm no expert by far, and my experience is only anecdotal across several systems.

Not trying to debate about systems, it's been done, just speaking anecdotally since the 90s.

ETA: Most of the computer issues were pretty much resolved when I switched over, just saying.

I absolutely believe you. I recommend a Mac to some clients depending on their needs. Sometimes, it's just what is needed.

Edge is good.
Windows 10 is the best gaming platform ever as it manages resources better than any other.
It only gets better with HAGS (Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling)

Yes , they have a total of 50 games . And one knows they are good , as they played them on a PC 20 years ago .
(commercial from long ago)

I resisted using Edge.
I tried....I really did.
Then one day Waterfox updated and had a memory leak....AGAIN....I hate Chrome.....not an Opera fan....and decided why not try Edge.
I'm pretty much happy with it.
I feel it is secure, and fast, and reliable.
And I cannot believe I said that LOL

Do I want to know more about HAGS.....casual PC user here....

Only if you play games or use graphics programs .
Yet it is only available for the latest video adapters like Nvidias' RTX series.
I.E. anything graphic intensive.
Hmm.... Just thought . Maybe fullscreen YouTube videos ?

They have gotten better in the last ten years?
No huge memory leaks?
I mean, that is why I quit Firefox in the first place......

I don't think I ever have.
If I did , I probably fixed it myself

Well, how do you remedy browser memory leaks?
Or does it depend?

I'd be willing to check out FF again.
