Yeah, his team had said it was in remission but I guess something as deadly as this virus can push whatever underlying conditions one may have over the edge.

So did my grandmother, and she died from it earlier this month without having coronavirus.

He reportedly got the virus after attending Trump's Tulsa rally.
From this point forward Herman Cain's life doesn't matter. Only his death and how useful it is as a cudgel against Trump.
I think both matter to be honest.
His life's work is significant.
Even though he was elderly, was his life cut short due to Covid?
Was it cut short because he didn't take reasonable precautions?

Probably, but wasn't that his decision on how to take precautions? I'm sure he took some precautions, but nothing is 100%.

Cain, who had been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in 2006
Stage IV colon cancer has a relative 5-year survival rate of about 14%. This means that about 14% of people with stage IV colon cancer are likely to still be alive 5 years after they are diagnosed

He should have known better, especially with his previous condition, remission or not.. He wore no mask at that Trump rally.

Right, he died FROM cancer. Got it.
He didn't die from cancer either, it's been in remission since 2006.

For most, stage 4 cancer is likely to return, even if a person enters remission.
