I find it odd that people are worried about this billionaires tax returns

Him fighting it so hard spending so much money to keep it hidden after he said he would be happy to show it makes it very suspicious.

have so many politicians that become millionaires while in office.

I wonder if anyone can prove that about biden?

Because the House was asking for political reasons which is not allowed, so he's trolling the Dems to get a rise out of them in my opinion.

Childish. Not what I want in any of my leaders.
And for those that worship trump understand that I mean this about both the house and potus.

Your comment "those that worship Trump" is why you don't get it. None of us here that I've seen have shown any signs of putting him on a level like that. Of course we defend a lot of his actions but not the ones that are truly stupid. I have said many times that I wish he would stop using Twitter. He goes off without thinking about what he's saying often and that hurts him. Unless he says something truly heinous it's not going to change my mind about the things he's done for us. A lot of people on the Left would rather have a cautious, smooth talker as president. We've seen how well that worked in the past (not!) and that's not what I want. I want someone who gets things done as Trump has despite the constant attacks and stonewalling from the Dems, mostly in the House.

Childish? Sure. Necessary given the reason? I think so. Not only does it feed his ego, which I couldn't care less about, but it exposes the Dem's ridiculous behavior and true motives which we've needed to see for decades. He's the only one in the current GOP that could have done that, the rest would have folded to the Dems' whims like a New York slice. I do not like Trump as a person, but I will be happy to cast my vote for him again this November. There is no one else in the system right now that has the ability to help our country recover quickly like he does.

That's your opinion.
My opinion is that some do. And I didn't want them to ree at me because they thought I was only calling trump childish.

President Harry Truman said in the 1950's
You can't get rich in politics,
unless your a crook
As true today, as the day Truman made the comment.

I think we should DEMAND that all members of congress are audited yearly. The findings should be on every politicians website, who they got money from, when and why. Hell, I’m not allowed to receive gifts from our vendors outside of the holidays because it’s a conflict of interest. Not even a $5 Dunkin Donuts gift card. The fact that congress can become millionaires off their positions is absolutely ludicrous. They simply cannot be trusted to speak in OUR favor while lining their pockets with money from the highest bidder.

And why in the f*ck do we not have term limits in congress? Most people I know in their 80’s can’t fully operate a modern cell phone, never mind keep up with an extremely fast changing world that is barely reminiscent of life 20 years ago.

That sounds like a much bigger issue.

Lol. So what you are saying is that tax returnes of the head of state, commander in chief who can with one phone call nuke another nation are less important than of those who almost have no power at all? Lol

What kind of logic is that?

edit on 10-7-2020 by XCrycek because: (no reason given)

I don't understand why trump cares so much about doing a simple thing like showing his taxes when it would build trust in the american people.

And I really don't understand why anyone would cheer him on when he refused.

IF "the american people" were asking for it and getting it would be a reason to vote for him you have a point.

now lets deal in REALITY backed by FACT.

during the 2016 election this very issue was brought up by democrats, main stream media and hillory campaign daily if not every few hours.

He refused (his reason about an audit was rational but IMO bears no more relevance than just because he didnt want to) and IS NOT BOUND BY LAW TO DO SO...

all he was bound by law to do was provide financial info to the SEC to which NOTHING ILLEGAL WAS FOUND.
on a side note IRS was auditing him that same year (hardly friend of conservatives or republicans) and also FOUND NOTHING.

all this information was KNOWN and by him WINNING THE ELECTION shows the release of the tax returns is NOT AN ISSUE the VOTERS care about.

Now the elephant in the room question that no one asks is "if you got trumps tax returns would you vote for him "?

note this is with the KNOWN FACT that the IRS and SEC have found NOTHING ILLEGAL IN THEM or any financial paperwork turned into them

the answer is by any standard or reason you care to use is "NO".

so the real reason they want it is to find a way to twist it to stop him from being elected, embarrass him by twisting it, and/or to do another "impeachment farce"

so given that why in hell would he OR ANY OF US give someone trying to lynch us (yes i used it correctly and not literally) in the public square any help?

So he is not showing because of who's asking?

That imo makes him just as childish as those that are bothered by him not showing.

Bunch of kids fighting with each other.

No matter who was asking or why an adult would have shown them and put this stuff to rest right away.
