I suppose either way I am okay with it. Last I know Trump was under audit which is why he hasn't released them yet.

Its funny to me that this is still a thing; Democrats refuse to actually do anything except still cry over 2016 and YET!, most politicians D/R all mill/billionaires. Imagine my shock. #auditcongress

I find it odd that people are worried about this billionaires tax returns when we have so many politicians that become millionaires while in office.
That sounds like a much bigger issue.

But on topic I guess.
As far as I know there is no requirement for a politician to release their tax returns.
I’m not opposed to that becoming a law but I also want their college transcripts and copies of their admission papers released too.
All or nothing.

You and me both. I think we will only see some real change once Trump wins 2020, He will have more 'flexability'.

Exactly right. Their decision was sent back down to the lower courts. The case will have to work its way back up the ladder again. The final determination will not come before 2021.

Well he won’t have to be concerned with re-election..
But despite what the left wants everyone to believe, he is not a dictator and cannot just go wild making changes without cooperation from the other branches.

The real interesting future event will be the 2024 election...
If trump wins then both parties will need a new face to run and neither has any good prospects today.

Ultimately, in essence, this was a Political Win for Trump but a longterm disaster for the Presidency as any DA could theoritically drag the POTUS to court over nonsensical letigation.

Don't know why the SCOTUS rules in the manner knowing full well of the corruption.

Either way, Trumps second term is where the sword comes out.

All the advisors and informnants, all stop. Experienced and ready, Trump will lead the second term heavy handidly, as Bannon once said, and willl not take suggestions on SCOTUS nominees as he will have his own list.

I've been wondering with Kanye announcing future plans, if he will be an option. Maybe he and Trump had a meeting and are trying to figure out a battle plan, or insert Trump kids. Kanye - Id prefer to see him continue his faith walk and serve more .. not so much prove himself..but I need more.

Either way.. What a time to be alive!

I thought this was for a case that had started prior to his presidency.

The issue isn't that they want his tax returns because he is a politician, rather it's for an unrelated matter.

It looks like the problem is many want a multi lane road. Some think he should release them because he is president. Others think he shouldn't have to because he's president.... But the reality seems to be it's an unrelated investigation since before his political ambition.

I don't think anyone should have immunity just because they're a politician. They are after all our employees. I get a background check, credit check, and even have to piss in a cup when I get a job. Why should we make it any easier for those running our country.

Exactly. They all seem so concerned with a billionaire who is losing money by taking office, but they don't care about the ones who earn their fortune in Congress.

If they demand Trump's returns, then they really need to see their representatives' returns too. I think that'd be much more interesting to them.

there are multi sides to this and many try to mix them up to hide their particular agenda.

so I am gonna try to separate them for what they are.

1. there is NO LAW that any president or any politician must release any financial information to anyone just because they want it (outside of court order and even then you can appeal it as any evidence).

the ONLY EXCEPTION in the political arena is there is financial information YOU MUST GIVE to the SEC
that trump ALREADY HAS.

2. there are legal parties from NYC to congress that want his tax returns.. they must file LEGAL PAPERS IN THE COURTS .
not the "court of public opinion".. because there you must provide FACTS WHY ITS LEGALLY NECESSARY . Even then ANYONE can fight that in the courts as well.. they are not liking he wont just give them to them..

3. the cold hard truth is those that are voting for him dont care about the tax returns and those that do would never vote for him if he did .. so why should he.

overall here is the cold hard truth is there is claims he is doing something illegal in his taxes.
the IRS has been auditing him well before he ran for president and all during his campaign in 2016.
they found BUBKIS (and dont think they were not trying their best to find anything) .

people who dont want trump as president dont want to accept that and think they are tax specialists.

all they want to do is twist what has been found by the SEC and IRS TO BE LEGAL and twist it in some way to prevent him from a second term

nothing more, nothing less.

so all he is doing LEGALLY is not helping people lynch him (politically) .

the absolute immunity is not (as I found researching) as it sounds.

this all stems from congress (specifically democrats) trying to get his financial records to see "if there was a crime committed". in short a fishing expedition or even more simply "give us what we want and we will find a crime"

thats not how this works.. you have probable cause (like the watergate break in) and you ask for information (the tapes) that is DIRECTLY RELATED to it..

this isnt what congress did and to be frank the immunity is to prevent harassment of a sitting president (any president from any party) that interferes with them doing their job.

congress has no probable cause so they trying to end run around that .

hence the claim of immunity

now as the impeachment proceedings showed they could have gotten his testimony or even his tax records IF THEY would have gone though the federal courts when he refused.

now as for the state it is a claim stemming from stormy daniels .

but they are trying it again .

but lets be frank .. the supreme court didnt hand either party a win..

they clearly stated both parties, those that are trying to build a case against trump and trump defending themselves , have to go though the courts and follow the process.

but lets be honest here.

no president in history (even including nixon) has ever been subjected to the amount of legal action, investigations, ect .
or harassed by legal action in such a manor

the true danger here is not what they are doing to trump but what happens after trump

you open this "get trump by any means necessary" you set a precedent that can be used on any president at any time.

just look at what happened with the "nuclear option" by the democrats in the senate..

now you cant stop it when the other side does it.

I think that when Michael Cohen's offices were raided they found some of Trumps financial records. So they already have some of them.

I could be wrong but anything found in Cohen's offices not covered by the warrant can't be used to open other cases. So they have to find another way to get the same information legally. And how much do you wanna bet that Nadler has Trumps financial records already. They are just trying to subpoena something they already have and likely broke to law to get.

This also seems to be a fishing expedition by the SDNY to try and find anything in Trump's financial records to open an investigation.

Because the House was asking for political reasons which is not allowed, so he's trolling the Dems to get a rise out of them in my opinion.

Don't we all want our potus , whom ever they might be, to be as transparent as possible.

The large silent majority of Americans could not give a rats ass about President Trump's tax returns.

What we would like to see is Congresses tax returns for the last decade.
