And, I bet they have grown children and grandchildren.

These BAMN thugs are despicable.

Exactly
That is why it's necessary for people to understand what's happening here.
Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals lays this method out
Use fear of the unknown and public ridicule as weapons
The organizers of these movements are admitted Marxists
And the tools they use are taught to them
When they say trained Marxists they aren't exaggerating
That is why everybody should recoil when these tactics are used
Their intent is to stifle dissent

Im going to have to take a look at that book. I saw it mentioned years ago on here. From what I can gather it would be good to read to get any idea of whats going on in the way the radical far left operates.

Make sure you read the actual book
Not memes stating what's in the book
Not chain emails
Not another person's opinions
Read the book

Why was it a whole different story when it was armed protesters at the Michigan capital in regard to their right to get a haircut? Then all the posts were about "my right to protest with arms". Now it's a bad thing? What is the difference to you now?

The Michigan capital is public property. Everyone has a right to be there. This incident occurred on posted private property.

And, don't forget, Arizonaguy. Hillary wrote her college thesis on Alinsky: "There Is Only the Fight... : An Analysis of the Alinsky Model."

Some people don't want to know the truth behind the real organizers of these Marxist/Socialist movements. Those organizers use thugs and dumbfks to carry out their dirty work. Perhaps they pay them. But, what is happening now is not your grandpa's protests for civil rights.

This is a whole different animal and it has been decades in the making. You might call it the "fundamental transformation of America". Wake up, people, before it's too late. These BAMN groups are NOT about our Constitution nor our country.

It is time to stop being so naive. Time to wakey wakey!!

They had every right to fire also.

WTF..AT WHAT!!!

Trespassers on private property. Every nonresident inside the gate.

Thats not enough to me, to shoot anyone. I agree with self defence, but shooting anyone would not of been that..imo And no one was hurt, so no shots needed.

My state has 1000s of miles of farm roads where the sheriff's response is measured in hours. And private property is just as likely to be marked off with purple paint spaced around the edge of the property instead of a fence. Also the county is required to provide 911 access so all the private roads have the same markings as public roads.

While you might not kill for trespassing there are plenty of people who will, this thread should serve as evidence of that.

No, I wouldn't, if someone tried coming through my door, that changes.

And yes, it seems some would indeed shoot for trespassing..what can I say about that..I don't agree with it I guess.

What would you do if while sitting in your living room, the thugs poured gasoline around your house and torched it. Oops...too late.

The man did the smart thing. Once the thugs break down your gate and march toward your home with weapons shouting threats, you have a choice to make. You can cower under the bed, or stand ready to defend yourself, your family, and your property.

I'm supposed to shoot some mofo's over something that has not happened yet, or in this case..did not happen period. No one died, or had to die here.

Like I said, defend yourself, no where in this thread have I not reinforced that statement. Start pouring gas around my house and same as going through the door, I'm not a cowering person. I just think about appropriate response.

I'm not suggesting that you are the type to cower, but, once a mob breaks through your gate forcibly and heads toward your home shouting threats, imo, you should already be standing at the ready.

These people aren't going to knock on your door and ask if they can destroy your property, tear down your statuary, beat your wife, and gawd knows what they would do to you.

We all have our opinions. Mine is that he did the right and brave thing. He stopped them dead in their tracks, and didn't fire a shot nor point his rifle at them.

Nope. Just pointing out the hypocrisy. Perhaps you don't see it in yourself? Maybe you need some time for reflection and self discovery?

Or you could accept that people outside of the U.S have a romantic view of Americans being gun nuts and this woman is the perfect meme to exagerate that belief.

And that would be wrong to think that, right? After all, just because you come from somewhere or have some personal physical resemblance to others does not make you guilty for their actions.

Right?

Understandable, in farm county, peoples livelihood begins at the gate* and their ability to provide for themselves and their families, workers, and neighbors is much more important than the building they sleep in. Granted these were lawyers in a subdivision, but their mentality is normal for people in a rural state. (their lack of training makes them a bigger danger to themselves than any intruder, but shall not be infringed is the constitutional standard)

On the other hand I met people from big cities with large families that felt their only private space/time was when they were in the restroom. And I can understand why their personal boundary only extends to the inside of their house or apartment.

* depending on the easement given for the public road, a gate or cattle-guard could be a half-mile or more from the public road.

Everybody arguing over whether they need safety training or not, but in reality all they needed was a set of balls to resolve this peacefully. I wouldn't be proud of the gun handling in that video, but they sure did display a huge sack which was all that was needed.

I thought you NRA nuts wanted guns for responsible people. Waving guns around like that at people is not responsible. I hope it's criminal.

I find it fascinating how you assume what my political background is and what organizations I do or do not subscribe to .

Is this what psychologist refer to as projection?

I can make inferences based on what side of this debate you appear to be on. You appear to be on the side of a crazy old lady waving a pistol around like it's a damn toy. Anyone who defends that is an idiot.

It's possible to say that she should have practiced better gun discipline *and* that the mob had no business destroying private property then trespassing. Those two statements are not in opposition.

We are talking about this couple and all the "threats" to their property, I'm curious though, the intent of the group was to walk to the mayors house. We hear of no other neighbors having issues, looting, no invasion of any houses including the mayor. Is it possible besides the trespass there was no nefarious purpose? This thread makes it seem like it was a gang intent on hurting and destroying. I'm all for protecting myself if someone tries to gain entry, but it seems that besides the trespass in which 911 could be utilized, this turned into a potentially deadly situation, with her finger on the trigger pointed at a crowd and the husband mostly pointing at the wife's head.

We aren't that far apart, I just would of stood ground on the porch, putting a bit more distance between me, and them..I think it's a sound strategy.

If they got rushed in the middle yard, the guy panic puts one into his wife, and/or, she shoots the ground and gets overtaken..lol, not funny but you catch my drift.

You don't have a right to wave your gun around at people like an idiot.

You do in Missouri if they are on your property.

I can't believe any responsible gun owners would spend 2 seconds defending that lady. That lady is WHY people want stricter gun laws.

No it isn't. They want stricter gun laws so people can come on to your property while your defenseless.

Did they shoot somebody walking down the street? No.

They stood at the ready should the thugs decide to take their violence and vandalism to them.

This couple was brave and responsible. They shot nobody, gave adequate warning, and stood their ground to protect themselves and their property.

this is the way i see it too.
