There is no need to search, or to be careful in the search, really. We will all come to the Truth in our own time, whatever it turns out to be. Perhaps I am the one who misunderstands! I claim no monopoly on the truth.

Okay, I've had my laughs. Now for the serious stuff.

A mental health professional called me "sick, disgustingly sick"

It was around 1989, in a gay bar, back patio actually.

This Psychologist specializing in lesbian affairs asked me what I was doing in a gay bar. So I told her that my wife liked to go there and I went with her sometimes. And now that I had friends there it shouldn't matter that my wife had left me.

So she escorted me out to the back patio where we took a table and ordered some drinks. After a couple of drinks the conversation got around to why I wasn't inclined to hit on her and take her home.

I explained to her that I am monogamous. That's when she accused me of being sick, disgustingly sick, and what kind of religious upbringing did I have to result in such a constrained attitude. And the drinks kept coming.

It turned into a very heated debate. And the drinks kept coming. I explained that it didn't have anything to do with religious upbringing, asking her if she ever found people raised a certain way to actually keep to their standards. No.

Then I explained that yes, it wasn't a matter of moral code, but rather that some animals are naturally monogamous and I just happened to be one. And the drinks kept coming.

So once we'd chatted a bit more about less controversial subjects, we tried to get up from the table and walk. Not so well I'm sorry to say.

I suppose occasional drunkenness is bad too.

What I said is no more a lie than the claim that God exists and is our creator. Both are opinions.

Logical conclusion. The greater reality must be experienced by a greater
being than ourselves. It is only by thinking and reason that I've brought
myself past belief to knowledge. I can say with no doubt God exists because
my thinking and patience to find reason, finally opened the door if you will.
And thru the open door on my thoughts shined greatly the light of eternal mind...

What do you figure happens to folks, whom 'go' 'beyond, below, above, deeper' than this limited 'supposed reality', naked in mind, and without beliefs ?
