??????????????????????
Sorry, so all gods therefore have to be real, because belief in a deity = existence of a deity?

I wasn't explaining logic, I was stating a fact.

It's not the belief that makes a deity real, it's a real deity that can give you faith and there is only one god.

Again, by that same line of thinking millions of Hindus who believe in their pantheon are correct, as their gods have to exist in order to inspire such faith.
And the Egyptians were also correct in believing in their pantheon of gods, some with the heads of animals, because again they must have existed to create such belief.
I, obviously, do not believe and have not believed since I was about 14-15. Ironically what made me an atheist was bible study - I was taking my confirmation classes for the Anglican church that my family worshipped at, whilst at the same time I was studying for my Scripture O-Level.

You seem to delight in ambiguity. Again - what don't you agree with? My statement about the Pantheons, or the fact that I'm an atheist?

Statement about the pantheons.

Just so you know, it's not necessary to agree, I'm all fine with that.

Aha, thanks for clarifying that. I wasn't sure what you meant.

isnt the fact that we are here having a conversation about the probability that we have a creator is pretty miraculous

Which God thought? Christian? OT God who is an infinite consciousness, or NT God who is infinite consciousness itself?

I am pretty sure that is what maus80 said......but in more words.

Consciousness (another term for God) is all there is.

To exist is to stand out, away from the background.

The background is God.

The visible image is the manifestation of the invisible God.

Totally vibes with the first chapter of the Tao.
Seen here in this translation by KIYOASHI :

KIYOASHI
The tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao.
The name that can be named is not the eternal name.
The unnamable is the eternally real.
Naming is the origin of all particular things.
Free from desire, you realize the mystery.
Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations.
Yet mystery and manifestations arise from the same source. This source is called darkness.
Darkness within darkness.
The gateway to all understanding.

Yes they all point to the one.

Did you listen to the Wei Wu Wei series?

Watch "Wei Wu Wei - All Else is Bondage - Part 1 - Non-Dualism, Taoism, Zen, Dzogchen" on YouTube

That puts a whole new light on it

All these different translations (I've only read 3 so far);
Different verses from different translations mixed.

It's like a person can spend a long time contemplating the first book!

Yes they all point to the one.

You have heard it said: "For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes."

But I tell you: Life is more than pointing.
