USA Today: Democrats wearing slave trader cloth is okay because of cultural significance

Everyone is aware of this story by now I'm sure. While trying to pander to black voters in a staged photo op (remember how bad those are?) Democrats famously wore African garb that's associated with a tribe that practiced the slave trade.



Naturally, by the left's rules, this means that Pelosi et al. support slavery. Hey, this is the world ya'll created. No sense crying about it now.

Anyway, in this USA Today article they actually try to defend the dumbass Democrats who wore this thing by saying this (emphasis added):

"In the Facebook post, Brandon acknowledges kente cloth’s historical ties to the slave trade; however, he ignores the broader cultural significance the cloth has to West African and African American culture."

Oh, so if something has some cultural significance besides its ties to slavery, it's okay now? What else might that apply to?



The hypocrisy and lack of self-awareness would be shocking if it wasn't so predictable.

Broader cultural significance like, maybe, states rights? I've always wondered why people hated the South for buying slaves that were captured and sold by Africa, after Africa offered those slaves. Only a fool would judge a man from 1800 by the standards of 2020. But of course the left tries to pander to blacks by wearing slave trader cloth and that's fine.

What's so hard about an unbiased news report? If the news would drop their bias, the democrats would sink faster than a boulder. News is the only lifeline the democrats have left.

One of my favorites is how the UK pretends they're better than us because of slavery, as if the subjects in their colonies were free people. Also as if they didn't have huge economic ties to the Confederate States, including most of the industries that used slaves.

People who would busted into tribes of Africans, bound their people, tied them to logs, and made them walk miles and miles to their final destination before being shipped off? You think wearing a cloth representing that is fine?

\I see facts and an epic fail on your part. But the view from here may not be as good as it seems. Again, the thread is about idiot democrats pandering to BLM by wearing "African" scarves. They didn't bother to check the history of those particular colors. It seems they represent a tribe that traded slaves they captured from other parts of Africa.

Now, if any of that is incorrect, you let us all know, so we aren't propagating a lie. But if all that is correct, then your posts here begin to look more and more pathetic.
