Ignorance In The Wild Mobs

I read the other day how they toppled a statue of Ulysses S Grant.

General/President Grant is one of the reasons the North won the American Civil war, he was their very best General.
He was gifted a slave that he freed, he was in poverty at the time just before the civil war started, selling firewood.
He could have got $1000 dollars selling that slave back then lifting him out of poverty, but instead he freed him.

His father was an abolitionist but he married into a slave holding family, these ignorant fools need to understand history and who was on the side of advancing the ball towards better rights for black people.

I can imagine one person screaming to the rabid mob "he owned slaves pull it down" with no context.

It's a White man from the past, thats all the proof they need.
Living White people aren't viewed much more favorably despite making large part of the crowds rioting/protesting/looting. But they sure are handy to make this look like a "people's revolution".

The Robert Gould Shaw and the 54th Regiment Memorial, a sculpture dedicated to black soldiers who fought in the Civil War, was damaged after thousands of protesters descended on Boston Common to protest police brutality against black people, according to Boston NPR affiliate WBUR.

“This monument is considered one of the nation's greatest pieces of public art and the greatest piece to come out of the Civil War,” Liz Vizza, the executive director of the Friends of the Public Garden, said. “It was, amazingly enough, dedicated 123 years ago on May 31 — the day it was defaced.”

The Shaw memorial depicts likenesses of the 54th Massachusetts Regiment, the first black volunteer infantry unit in the Civil War, which fought after President Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation.

a sculpture remembering victims of the Armenian genocide was also vandalized.

the general pubic is comprised of individual idiots - collectivly - thier inteligence plummets - as " mobs " grow

I am pretty sure the majority of white people came over from Europe escaping persecution, mostly religious in nature, also ethnic, and governmental. Most of these white people never owned slaves or were rich. They were good honest people minding their own business.

Most white people in the United States are descended from that type of people.

The idea that all white people in the United States are descendants of rich white slavers couldn't be further from the truth.
