You don't have First Amendment Rights on this site. Go back and read it. What does it say? That the GOVERNMENT (and only the government) cannot abridge your rights to free speech in a public forum. It's unfortunate that the word "forum" exists in both contexts, but this, ATS, is a PRIVATE forum. It's amazing that you don't understand the distinction. Go yell on top of a soap box in a public park funded by taxpayers all you want, otherwise STFU.

Absolutely! $5-$10/mo. As long as you can take a credit Bacardi as I don’t trust PayPal or know anything about Bitcoin. Even with the political trolling it’s still my favorite site.

I'm only here occasionally but rarely ever see anything relevant. Unfortunately the site is too US orientated for me to want to pay a subscription. Sorry.

Yes. 10/mo or 100/yr if news/politics/current events are still allowed. I mostly lurk but this is where I get my news and hear other's perspectives on it. I think you could draw in more paying people to that side of things....especially as places like these become non existent.

I've been here since 2009. Not used it much in recent years but what with Covid and lockdown got more time to hang out.

I know nothing about the costs involved in running a web site but $25k per month seems excessive. There must be ways to get that down.

There appears to be over 300k registered members on the site. If even 1%, thats 3000, agreed to $10 a month thats $30k per month.

What's the problem ?

If I do pay I want to know where the money is going though.

That's been the Big Lie on ATS for years. The numbers of actual, active members is very low. Nearly half have never posted anything.

I normally just lurk, never post. I've been lurking pretty much nightly or at least a few times a week, since about 2013. Sometimes weeding through disinformation is tiring.

I would happily pay a monthly subscription for access to the site, seeing as I'm not paying for one for any other forums or anything.
