Who is your Fav Character in GoT

I've been waiting for the right time to watch Game of Thrones...

the current world situation seemed to be the right time... and ya its amazing!

Second time through now... lol

So many great characters... the Imp made the whole series...

but who was your Favorite?

Big fan of The Hound myself...

The first 6 seasons were fantastic then it started to drift a little, by the final episode I was a little underwhelmed. The battle of the bastards was so visceral I actually had to take a deep breath when John Snow was being trampled. Even when he’s standing alone with the entire Bolton army charging at him, kind of personified everything about his character.

Strangely enough I never really enjoyed his story arc at first, his character was a slow burner and the whole romance with Ygritte didn’t do it for me. Eventually tho he started to grow on me, his fight with the white walker was another highlight.

The Lannister’s all played great parts in the show, Tyrion easily the star but a special mention to Jaime, his total character transformation worked really well, you went from hate to admiration, was a shame the final few episodes were so rushed that a lot of characters never really bowed out with any real depth to their demise.

The finale was so out of character for Daenerys, she went from compassionate and honourable to a genocidal maniac in the space of one or two episodes.

Great show, ruined by a change of pace to rush the final two seasons and pack too much in.

I was disappointed that they demolished Jaime's redemption arc.

Without a doubt:

Still waiting on the books. I've heard too many bad things about how they handled the series once they ran out of written material to pick and choose from.

However, I think Martin is done writing the series and won't ever finish it.

In the books, I'm not sure who my favorite is. It's hard to get too attached to anyone. They all have a strange way of ending up dead and there really aren't many who are admirable. Arya's arc is interesting, but she's bogged down in her Faceless training at the moment, so it's less interesting than it might otherwise be. I hate it when otherwise interesting characters go through parts of their plot that I don't enjoy working my way through.

There are so many great characters due to the writing / dialogue. I don't think I could just pick one.

Tyrion, Varys, Littlefinger, and Bronn are my favorites. Their wittiness is just over the top.

When Littlefinger and Varys start quipping at each other and talking in code about power, it is fantastic.

Yes, Jamie's transformation was epic.
Dude goes from pushing children out of towers so he can intercourse his sister, to The gentleman he is when he gets buried alive with his true love.
I despised him up until he was on the road with Brianna.
That's when you could tell he wasn't a complete ass.

I think one my favourite/funniest parts of the show for me was when
Tormund sees Brienne for the first time.
His mouth was gapped and he was just staring at her with big eyes.
You could tell he was instantly in love.
All his interactions with "The big woman" were hilarious




Or the pissing match he has with Jamie about how he got so strong in front of Brienne.

This is a good moment also

I liked the Hound. His character arc was by far the most satisfying to me. He started the show as deeply hated by almost everyone except the Lannisters and found redemption. I also really enjoyed seeing Arya get her revenge.

I've gone thru the show 2x as well. Love it so much I might watch it a 3rd lol.

Not sure who my favorite is though as I like a lot of them.

I have never watched the series and know nothing
about the story line.

I was into it until the dragons started showing up.

Then not so much after that.
