Black Lives Matter Means Defund The Police.

Did you know this?
I didn't know this.

In these threads, BLM supporters on ATS have told me 'Black Lives Matter' meant many different things.
But they never told me this.

But don't take it from me.
Take it from 'Black Lives Matter':

BlackLivesMatter DC
@DMVBlackLives
Jun 5

This is a performative distraction from real policy changes. Bowser has consistently been on the wrong side of BLMDC history. This is to appease white liberals while ignoring our demands.
Black Lives Matter means defund the police.

TWITTER
(Bold/Underline--mine)

So...according to 'Black Lives Matter', itself...in order to support BLM you MUST support defund the police.
Why?
Because "Black Lives Matter means defund the police.".

So...DO YOU SUPPORT DEFUNDING THE POLICE?

If you DO NOT...then you DO NOT support 'Black Lives Matter'
Because "Black Lives Matter means defund the police."

-Support BLM
-Support Defunding the police
The two are inseparable...ONE means THE OTHER.
You can't support one without supporting the other.

So says 'Black Lives Matter', itself.

Who would think up getting rid of the police?
Criminals perhaps?
What does this mean for Black Cops?
Come join the protests since you don't have a job?
I must've woken up in lala land, none of this # is based on reality.

Today, the Biden campaign came out with a statement saying Joe Biden does not support defunding police.

Biden Opposes Defunding Police

www.bloomberg.com...

Since "Black Lives Matter MEANS Defund Police"...

Joe Biden DOES NOT support 'Black Lives Matter'.

If any of those cops support BLM...they support getting fired.

It is hard to know just where to begin, but lets start
with political targeting? Because if this happens all
of those "approved" to enforce the law will be aligned
with those who approved them.

What could possibly go wrong?

Any day now...Joe Biden is going to experience THIS:

BLM: Mr. Biden...Do you support 'Black Lives Matter'?

BIDEN: Absolutely! Totally! 100%!

BLM: But will you defund the police?

BIDEN: No. I don't support that.

BLM: But 'Black Lives Matter' MEANS defund the police!

BIDEN: [unintelligible word salad and something about Corn Pop]

Fortunately, the Sheriff's Department 'outranks' the local PD. If there's trouble ... it's not hard to swear in a bunch of deputies for a night of action. 🀠

This is classic false dillema typically used in cult indoctrination.
I would urge people joining cults during the apocalypse, to at least brush up on the rules.

To anyone actually interested in what defund the police means (it's not at all what the OP or what 99.9% of members here believe) Philip DeFranco did a deep dive into it.

ETA: Segment starts at 10:54. I put a time stamp start to the video but it's off by 20 seconds

Can you give an executive summary ?

I think many people would be ok, with defunding many government institutions.

Potus should brush up on sim city.

The ultimate end will be more authoritarian control by the state.

I looked ahead to the end of this story.

The premise of the stories is that, in the waning days of a future Galactic Empire, the mathematician Hari Seldon spends his life developing a theory of psychohistory, a new and effective mathematical sociology. Using statistical laws of mass action, it can predict the future of large populations. Seldon foresees the imminent fall of the Empire, which encompasses the entire Milky Way, and a dark age lasting 30,000 years before a second empire arises. Although the inertia of the Empire's fall is too great to stop, Seldon devises a plan by which "the onrushing mass of events must be deflected just a little" to eventually limit this interregnum to just one thousand years. To implement his plan, Seldon creates the Foundations – two groups of scientists and engineers settled at opposite ends of the galaxy – to preserve the spirit of science and civilization, and thus become the cornerstones of the new galactic empir

NB:

A key feature of Seldon's theory, which has proved influential in real-world social science, is an uncertainty or incompleteness principle:
if a population gains knowledge of its predicted behavior, its self-aware collective actions become unpredictal

Personally, I like the fact that police departments across the US have been funded to the point of militarization, along with excess military equipment, that they want to try out and use on citizenry.

Why let that hardware go to waste?

Put it to use and militarize the police.

Instead, with defunding the police, the mob will become militarized.

Why not just do away with the police use the military ?

Which is what we're seeing with the gestapo styled militarized police and crackdowns on Constitutional rights.

Which many are applauding.
