So Minnesota voted blue in the 2016 election. It should also be mentioned that Minnesota is an open carry state ( permit required. )

What better way to hand the state's electoral votes to Trump later this year when this far left "experiment" blows up in their faces. I can't wrap my head around this, because 2020 is so crazy I can't keep up.

On the plus side, we will get an experiment to show people what happens when they ask for ridiculous things. You don't want police, fine, let's see how that goes.

Oh boy, mass exodus out of Minneapolis.

Hopefully this is satire.

I give it 2 weeks.

The wealthy upper middle class types who support this policy benefit most from the police being a thing. The police in these sort of places don’t care about poor, working class people (nor do the political elite in the area) so for them nothing changes in their crime ridden ghettos.

But no police means no protection for the suburban middle class, so they will either leave once they feel the brunt of the crime, or hire a private security firm, which will be sued every time there is even a shred of proof of brutality. Which will be often since private security firms, unlike the police, are accountable to no one and have no oversight whatsoever.

If they don’t leave they will want the police back and quick.

You won't have to worry about the open carry permit if there are no cops to arrest you. Everyone in the city will have a gun strapped on. Here you can shoot someone if they are endangering your life or property, I wonder how it is in Minneapolis?
