To further the cause, a section of is has been renamed as Black Lives Matter Plaza. Is this going to be the new MLK Blvd around the country? Name park benches after Trayvon and Michael Brown?

This is pandering and not a solution. Solution starts at home and not with disbanding the police.

I suspect she did this to piss off Trump. She was supposed to be in charge of the Police Department running the protest but old Trumpy went behind her back and rolled out the military. He didn't give her the chance to do her thing but it doesn't surprise me. Trump doesn't really respect women in power anyway.

I live 30 minutes from the White House. I have met the mayor before. She is a shady character and does a lot of behind the scene shenanigans. Both she and Trump are despicable people so it doesn't surprise me one bit they are going at it this way.

The "storm trooper" gets paid regardless, they're "active duty". Doesn't really matter what they're doing or where they do it.

The mayor shouldn't be using social, "public funds", for a political statement. Some "black lives" do matter. Some white lives matter,.. yellow, red, orange, brown and etc.,..lives matter. " Black lives matter"! What a stupid thing to say. Is that what Floyed was saying during his home invasion of a pregnant "black" woman? While he was holding a gun to her belly? I doubt it. There are as many white N's as there are black one's..

It's not the President that's deviding this country. The "protest" is legit! Cops have way to much authority. I don't believe this, because it happened to a "black man", (who had a history of criminal behavior not just against society, but people of his own "color") I believe it because most of what they do is flat out unconstitutional, for everybody.
