The ones that were up front went on to meet another protestor running up. Nobody should walk up on a line of cops enforcing a curfew and they definitely shouldn't be reaching at their uniforms or whatever he was doing. They shouldn't have pushed him. I don't believe they pushed him very hard and didnt think it would cause him to stumble like that.

All they had to do was escort him to the area they wanted him in.
I am GLAD they were suspended
They have NO understanding of how to handle their authority.

Cops are trained to deal with criminals in crimes. Not for protests and for curfews with people who do not want to be restricted. Plus these cops are probably overworked and tense, there are cops getting shot and beat up, even an old guy could be a little nuts and pull a knife and stab them in the throat. We are old people, some of the old people were trained in the military...we are not harmless just because we are older. I may be in my sixties, and sore all over from years of abusing my body at work, but if I had to I could take almost anyone down in minutes if they let their guard down, And I was never military, but know how to protect myself if needed. Never assume an old guy is helpless.

They should not have people who are not trained working then.
If they put people in that situation untrained then the city is responsible, right?
The lengths you are going to for justification of this are dizzying.

Eh, I see both sides on this one. The old man shouldn't have approached a line of police in riot gear pushing forward. Then the cops could have used kids gloves since he is elderly, and moved him to the side or something. Both parties to blame here.

I can't believe how many boot lickers are on this site, it's pathetic.

WTF is wrong with you?

Stop defending these monsters that want to control and dominate you. The kind of people seeking authority should never be trusted.

Him and his depends wearing ass should have stayed home. Play with fire you get burned.
There was no permit for the protest.
It was after curfew.
He has no excuse.

It doesn't work like that , he could have saying his wife's having a heart attack and his phones not working , anything like that.
One had time to listen , why not the others .

You know as well as I do, that the police were moving to restore order.

You know as well as I do, that dude was out there to disrupt police operations.

Stop making excuses.

Every cop in that formation should have busted that dude in the head with their billie club as they marched past. That dude wants to serve as an example ... let the damned example be set ... and then followed without exception. Riots would end on the very same day.

I know, and that's what my brain tells me, but a lot of my clientele are retirees, and I see how frail they are, and how easy it would be to hurt some of them, and I have some empathy, because of that, but yeah, he should of stuck to the sidelines if he wanted to be there.

How the hell are you attempting to justify 2 cops pushing an old man?
They could have EASILY escorted him to where they wanted him to go.
The 2 dip#s are suspended, imo rightfully so.

Do not block the police. Do not close on them. A 75 y/o can kill you as easiy as a 30 y/o if he is armed. Without being searched, there's no guarantee he isn't.

He was an idiot who relied on his age to protect him from his hubris and stupidity.

blimey!

The guy fell against that concrete ball by the looks of it and smashed the back of his head on it or the pavement. That policeman should be arrested.

The old guy very well could have simply been separated from his family.
You dont lknow any different.
Neither did those cops.

What they did is a simple abuse of power.

We have become a stupid society. We take a 60 second video clip, where a man gets pushed out of the way and falls over like he is drunk. Millions of people see this on social media and automatically judge within 60 seconds not knowing all the facts that the guy who got pushed is innocent not drunk or on drug that would inebriate his balance. What is that old man doing anyway getting in front of marching cops? Oh well that is not important the narrative is evil, mean, cops killing the citizens in the streets protesting. It’s fascinating that we can be outraged at the cops but not the looters, or the rioters on the streets this week. I am still dumbfounded that David Dorn, gets NO protests on the streets, he was executed on the streets of St. Louis, people were filming it and laughing. No protests, no demands for justice etc. these people are hypocrites, and have an agenda. Yes Americans are the dumbest people on the planet right now. Yeah I said it.

Nothing you post is going to justify the abuse of authority the cops in question demonstrated.
Deflection to another violent event won't justify the buffalo cops actions either.

It’s not justification, it’s a comparison that proves hypocrisy.

I am not deflecting, I am also not going to be a moron, and be quick to judge reality of matter in a video on social media, that is being used as propaganda to support an agenda, that appears to be propagated by hypocrites. Seriously 😂

Your comparison is hot garbage.

The cops abused their power when dealing with a senior citizen.
It is vile.
They have been suspended so your "judging" assesment is crap also.

Sell your deflection elsewhere.

I am confused.
Was the article that I read about this incident wrong?
I read that this occurred after curfew and that there was no permit issued for a protest.

How does anyone in attendance have an excuse for being there?

Why was it a good idea to approach police that are there to push you back and make you disperse?

Lol you’re on a high horse. Considering, this country was founded on law and order, my comparison is not hot garbage. Your point of view is the COPS, who enforce law and order are bad for doing it, but it is not bad for citizens to get executed in the streets trying to stop people breaking the law. Okay... These people including this hero, here are hypocrites. I am not saying that old timer getting pushed out of the way is right or wrong, looks like he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I will say thou citizens getting executed in the street for trying to stop people breaking the law is wrong, what makes it sick is people not all people but those who support the hypocrites protesting laugh at him, while he is dying....

I have been a member of ATS since 2011. A lurker since the early 2000s. A lot of stuff here has got me hot under the collar over the years, especially recently, but right now...

I've seen the video. I heard the sound of his head hitting the pavement. The guy could easily have died. The people here justifying, defending, calling "FAKE NEWS" (yes someone in this thread actually wrote that) have thrown me into a white hot RAGE. Like I literally had to walk around the house and just managed to stop myself putting my entire arm through a door.

YOU PEOPLE ARE SICK!!!
