I've been following the minneapolis riots the last few days.

Preface, I live in MN but don't care about the metro area, it's always been a cancer on the state.

But, after last night and all the outcry and the hard posturing by the officials. Setting curfews, and bringing in the guard. It's just another huge failure after another(they flubbed the covid thing hard).

The curfew is one thing, watching local live streams, most of the people between 8pm and 11pm were very PEACEFUL, although violating curfew. While I know deep down they are a violent mob, within that timeframe I saw really no reason to engage them. Well, shocker, as night falls it's back to burning buildings and looting stores.

Where the HELL is all this "force" that the city officials said would not allow a night like last?

What a joke. I had no problem with groups out past curfew just being peaceful, but once they start destroying property(burning strip malls) it should be game on. Tear gas, pepper balls, etc.

Being a rural resident, I know that the city has weak leadership, but even I'm shocked by how weak they are when they set their own low bar.

The saddest part????? They will get re-elected... The governor, the two mayors of the twin #ties, these people all deserve eachother.

I think that is why certain measures are being held back

Its midnight in minneapolis. and curfew has not been enforced.

Or its just going to continue

The leadership isn't qualified to pack groceries at the local supermarket, these are the people that were voted into their positions of incompetence.

There's a saying...stupid is supposed to hurt....

At this point, I won't be surprised if the bulk of the city is burned by monday, while the "leadership" continues to talk big about how they are going to control the whole thing.

I won't shed a tear....but I'll surely pay heavily in tax money.

They are there, all 500 hundred of them, plus probably an equal amount of state forces pulled in for this mess.

At this point, I'd assume they are stationed around strategic assets, but once the fires start, there is no reason a few hundred couldn't go out and gas/pepper the # out of all these rioters.

I'ts failed leadership, weak leadership. They have no business holding the office they do.

I'm watching the live feed of the LA "protesters" right now.

The cops remembered what tear gas is....

But they are just shoving them down the street while they loot.

Which gives a great message to all the thugs out there...

You won't be arrested!!! Party on!!!

This won't end well.

But it's certainly entertaining!

It's a conundrum, how do you interact logically with the mentally inferior?

It's a no win.

Me, I say give some room, until it gets overtly criminal, then gas and pepper the # out of stupid people.

Sure, they won't learn anything, but you'll get them back in their cages either way.

As a mixed-race person, I have a solution.

White people should just lose their sh!t, riot, burn and loot.

While screaming "racism!!" the whole time.

To infinity and beyond!

Let's get this reset going.

Sorry Pocahontas,

as a white man I'd just rather roast up some brats and burgers and serve some local micro brews.......

Either way, a reset seems inevitable.

I've run out of things to watch on Hulu and Netflix.

So to me that would be pretty entertaining.

Be a sport... go out and loot something!!!

It just makes no sense here in Atlanta the birthplace of the civil rights movement and MLK, a city with ethnic mayors and police chiefs, community leaders, and where 50% of the cities downtown businesses are minority-owned. Imbeciles burnt, destroyed, looted businesses in 3 locations. Vandalized the CNN center and only police and tear gas kept them from looting it completely. Burned cars, tore # up painted crap everywhere in about a 4-5 block area for what. I don't really know and all the while city leaders, rap artists. and civil rights leaders pleaded for calm non-violent protest THEY PRACTICALLY DID THE OPPOSITE. They think they hate this # now, wait until Trump gets re-elected they will go completely bonkers.

They've been tear gassing the entire time. Apparently it doesn't work as good when people are collectively and confidently energized with masks on practicing social distancing. Flashbang grenades too.

Having a small army of National Guard, with real bullets being fired by soldiers, carefully making sure not to actually hit anyone should do the trick.

I f you listen to the words the leaders are using it almost seems like they themselves are trying to stir the pot. They need to stfu and do their jobs. Don't telegraph what you are going to do, just do it.
