www.wave3.com...

Louisville WAV3 News Crew is purposely shot by a Louisville Metro Police Officer during live broadcast.

Someone is going to lose an eye! This is freaking ridiculous, have the police learned nothing?

I also saw NYPD earlier this evening telling people they couldn't film them and pushing cameras away.

I guess they don't like having all their malfeasances broadcast to the world.

Never step into a warzone and expect not to be shot.

There is a difference between getting caught in crossfire and being targeted by the very people who claim they are there to keep the peace.

In order to keep peace people have to protest peacefully. Burning down towns isn't very peaceful.

i'm kinda digging the implicit acknowledgement that, as it's a warzone, the cops are just one side of the conflict and not actually better or more right than the protesters tho

Do you think the police were justified in shooting them because other people were doing some wrong somewhere else?

This wasn't an accidental shooting; he aimed right at the camera man. The news crew wasn't setting fire to anything.

Are they owned by Gannett?
I am going to need this info before I pick an emotional response.

I honestly don't care. What is the purpose of media presence there? Are they spreading hate and inciting violence through their medium?

lol are you sure you don't want to go with "one side for good, the other for evil" ?
since you're being so childishly reductive about it may as well all the way right

Reminds me of an ISIS mass beheading video except no one dies. It's how they're sitting in a row and a man with a weapon going down the line, one by one.

That was rather brutal. They could've simply started detaining people, lol.

My first thought when seeing the video of the Minneapolis cop murder the Black Guy was how he seemed to be so relaxed while being filmed by the citizen. Even his partner seemed to be OK with the incident being filmed. It had a "staged" quality to it.

I will stick with my words. So you find order and chaos reductive? Then describe the event yourself. Nobody is stopping you, but be aware some people can be real asses about how you describe things.

On one hand, it's a riot, they should expect to get hurt, anywhere from a minor scratch to serious injuries, if they're going to be there in the first place.

On the other hand, that was a total dick move from the cops just to f# with 'em live.

Maybe if the media would “police” their own for a change we would not have such problems. Just a thought.
