Minneapolis and St Paul list:
bringmethenews.com...

They are burning libraries, affordable housing complexes and schools. Destroying parts of a community meant to help raise a person up???

Well according to the majority on ATS you should leave the looters alone because "they are justified".That's sarcasm by the way.

The protest rightfully did start with good intentions, but clearly a lot of idiots started taking advantage of it by stealing stuff.

On the other side and on what I've seen, I wouldn't trust the cops in that town as far as I could throw them, something is totally off about them

Yea these azzhats are getting out of control, I get it the policeman should be locked away for a long time as well as some of his partners on the scene. That said the damage and chaos inflicted on Minneapolis and St.Paul will be felt immediately and years later. You can get justice for Floyd and others without resorting to this level.

They're justified in storming the police station and taking as many down with them as they can. # the police. They need to be reminded whom pays their bills.

But burning down your home? Nah dawg, that ain't right.

So then since i've seen black people jump a white guy that means i can attack all other black people and burn down the NAACP?

Statistically speaking most of the rioters probably don't pay taxes but the officers do.

I have no problem with protests and understand that sometimes you don't get much more American than a good old riot but what they are doing isn't destroying institutions that have "oppressed" them but destroying things that they actively and directly benefit from.

It's opportunistic scum that is doing much of this.

Next year they will be complaining they live in a food desert and have no charter schools or local library for their children.

They're burning down the city in the name of "justice". What the hell does burning cars, housing, and stores down to the ground prove? Breaking into the police station, the fire department? I can tell how much these people really cared about Floyd when I saw them running out of Target with carts overfilled with stolen items, and flat carts stacked 6 high with stolen flat screen tvs. These people see Floyd's death as an opportunity to destroy and steal. It's pathetic. They don't care about that dude.

Two things are going to happen here.

A) These people end up getting what they want, which is Chauvin being overcharged

or

B) Chauvin get charged according to law and these people use it as an excuse to riot and destroy more.

If the get option A, I expect this to happen in Georgia and every time a black is killed by a white whether it's justified or not. The cops should have never let it get to this point, but I blame the mayor and his fake ass crocodile tears for that.

Perhaps we should stop wasting the resources on them and take this as a statement that they do not want raised up?

I think the difference is this is a systemic problem and the complaints should address the system, not random institutions.

I agree.

The protest did start out peacefully and they had every right to do so, but then all hell broke loose and they caused so much damage to their own community and innocent people who owned those properties.

It wasn't just the one cop who caused the death of that poor man, but the other ones who stood around and did nothing to stop him. Devastating!

2 to 4 bad cops out of 800,000 and you wanna take as many down as you can? Do you realize how dumb that sounds?

Yeah, our taxes provide their measly ass paycheck. Let's see how you would feel if your life was on the line every single minute of every single day while the media manipulates the weak minded to help paint a target on your back and you were making peanuts for it.

They don't want books, they want booze, big screens, and Nikes. I doubt they even know what the library looks like.

Agree.

I don't know what exactly burning down the police station will achieve but I can on a govt protest-level understand targeting the place these cops actually worked. But the rest of this is only hurting them and is not going to change the police. If anything it will give the police more powers.

They don't care about Floyd. I bet most of them can't even tell you his name.

Day 1: Why won’t people help our community? Everything here is in shambles and disrepair. Businesses refuse to move in, police somehow over police and under police our areas at the same time.

Day 2: Community member unjustifiably killed or arrested.

Day 3: let’s burn down the police station, library’s, locally owned businesses, and schools, that will show them!

Day 4: repeat

If you believe the white man is trying to keep you down then these actions are playing right into his hands right?

They’ve convinced you that destroying your own community is somehow “sticking it to the man”

Well who has to live there next week morons?

We should follow Communist Chinas example of leadership/dictatorship to ensure a better tommorrow by bashing one face in at time when ever someone complains about rights so equality can thrive. It what Saddam did with the rivaling religions in Iraq.

Hell, alot less manipulative or vindictive an straightforward an simple then raising taxes.
