The ultimatum came early on Friday morning from the president’s Twitter handle, slamming Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey as “very weak” and a “radical left mayor,” while warning that the federal government would take over the situation if local authorities don’t bring it under control.

Things are absolutely popping off. Late last night, Minneapolis protesters overwhelmed and took over the Minneapolis Police Department’s 3rd precinct headquarters, destroying everything in sight. The police were forced to evacuate. I wonder if any weapons were left behind and stolen?
Now Trump is threatening to send in the military if the local authorities can't handle the situation.

I wonder how scared that cop is seeing Minneapolis burning and police losing entire precinct headquarters to protesters over what he did.

It's a Warzone down here. Buildings burned. Police overwhelmed. 3rd precinct PD HQ has been ransacked and lit on fire after police withdrew from the site outnumbered and overwhelmed.

Protests are now spreading across the metro area in both Saint Paul and Minneapolis as well as a number of suburbs. Nationwide other cities are joining in: Denver, NYC, LA confirmed

My guess is the national guard rolls in at dawn when the protesters are tired and daylight shines.

Trump never sent the "military" into chicago, as he threatened, he really can't/won't send them in here.

It's, sadly, states rights and the governors call. If he does use a military force it will have to be the national guard.

While the leadership of this state is weak and scared, it really won't have to come to federal intervention, sooner or later, the guard will get the green light.

Perhaps being so divisively partisan, in a country armed to the teeth, and where the economics seem to still favor one skin color over another, and where the rich get way richer and the poor can be homeless or dead or whatever, was a bad idea?

Perhaps there are consequences in riling up millions of people just so you can insult your opponents?

Because sometimes, stuff happens and it shows that no-one is actually in control.

Then people start to take the law into their own uncoordinated, and opinion-driven hands, and things don't "just go away".

Lol, you realize 99.9999% of America is carrying on just fine outside these zones where reps and the media affiliates that serve their audience work with and for outside money to influence targeted populations.

I wonder how wild it will get over the weekend and if there will be Martial Law by Monday. I hope there is no more police brutality in other cities. You combine those protests with coronavirus protests and you will have major civil unrest nationwide. The whole country could eventually go on martial law if the chaos spreads everywhere.

President Trump wanted to send in the military to capture assassin-thugs here in Chicago, but Mayor Rahm Emmanuel wouldn't go for it. The mayor was satisfied with 74% of murders going unsolved.

This is what set the riot off.



This was literally cold-blooded murder in broad daylight like it was nothing. No wonder this caused a riot. It's exactly what someone might do if they wanted to start a riot. A cop kills a man in broad daylight and the other cop just stands around to protect his brother in blue. Absolutely astonishing corruption on display here.

You start by not destroying the city you live in. After this riot is finally over their city will be forever changed for the worse and that will only have a domino effect on their lives. Business that wasn't burned will leave. Destroyed business will not reopen. Anyone with the financial means to leave will do so, which means even less business. More poverty will equal less opportunity and even more crime. Good luck living in the # hole you're creating there.
