Hong Kong protesters battled with riot police in busy downtown areas on Sunday, showing their opposition toward China’s dramatic move to crack down on dissent in the biggest demonstration since the coronavirus swept through the city in January.

Hong Kong Protests Roar Back After China Tightens Grip on City

It's been reported that China had taken advantage of the recent calm imposed on Hong Kong due to the pandemic, so that CCP could attempt to institute legislation criminalizing distention and criticism of the CCP in Hong Kong without any ability for legislative or public engagement.

Seems that CCP miscalculated the resolve and attention span of the protestors, as things have reverted back to the way the were before COVID popped up back in early '20.

It'll be interesting to see how China plays this, with international tension already mounting over their role in the spread of COVID. Will the outside world quickly condemn China's crackdown on protestors? Will the international community be prepared to take more strident measures to penalize the CCP? Will the CCP up the ante with their forceful response to the protestors?

Seems that all of the bad will circulating the globe regarding China due to the virus is an explosive fuel, ready to ignite, and the resumption of violent protests and reprisals from China could be a spark that lights the fuse.

This will not end well for many many of the protesters, and in the end, their sacrifice will make no difference.

It's that kind of thinking that has lead us all into the arms of the slavery of globalism.

These people are fighting for their lives because they know the horrible treatment they will face under the authority of the CCP.

I don't disagree, but the reality is, there is no one in a position to stop the Chinese government from doing as they please.

There will, obviously, be no military reaction by the UN. That leaves rhetoric, and economic sanctions. They don't give a crap about rhetoric, and economic sanctions are not only unenforceable, but would damage the world economy, as well as that of the Chinese.

I'm not even confident we can do anything about their incursion into the South China Sea, let alone Hong Kong.

Could we even stop them from invading Taiwan if they forced the issue?

Don't be so pessimistic..

If their actions didn't matter, the CCP wouldn't be passing laws and doing everything in its power to stop them. Even before corona, it deployed all of its assets and scared, beat, and murdered innocent citizens just to maintain its power and if that doesn't prove how influential these people are, what else does? And even if there's no intervention, the MSM will be forced to cover these protests as they grow in size and that will raise more awareness of the CCP.

The HK protestors are brave and have been risking their lives for months. They didn't stop regardless of what their government told them and they know even better than us how much the CCP lies. If everyone in this world was as aware of political issues and had the same views of China and communism, we wouldn't be in this mess right now.

Hats off to them for not bowing down and standing up for their freedom immediately after the pandemic.

The surrender of Hong Kong to the brutal triad that is the CCP is one of the more shameful moments of my country’s history.

The Hong Kong protesters' will and determination should be supported worldwide by any and all freedom-loving people. At the least the CCP took advantage of the COVID situation to quell some of the flickering dissents. Now if the rest of China population would rise up there might be a chance. But that isn't likely to happen nor is China likely to give up control of Hong Kong.

I think that this is the kind of person that party apparatchiks call as useful idiot. That's not intended as an ad hominem gouge, just a statement of fact.

The CCP is a problem the world will have to deal its end goal will not change they want the world

We can deal with them now or our children can later

The goods we get and the cheap labor are a Trojan horse of sorts when they decide to take land they know they have to fight for the opposition will have no goods and no factories putting anyone who steps up to China at a disadvantage

The longer we wait the stronger China gets and the weaker the rest of the world's manufacturing gets

Make no mistake, if they straight up starting killing innocent people in Hong Kong, I mean full blown coverage, give no F#s, you can absolutely be certain that action will be instituted.

Why?

Because if they can do this to their own people, what regard do they have for us? Hmmm?

CCP must be stopped and dealt with.

No there will be not be sanctions.

No we will not stop them from making moves in the South China Sea.

Yes we could stop an invasion. First because Taiwan could absolutely hammer an invasion force. Secondly in order to invade China would have to hammer Taiwan to be able to land an invasion force. That takes time, time the USA, Japan, and our allies would need to build up forces. Third, a failed invasion and subsequent lose would cause China to lose enough face, that not only would Taiwan be officially recognized by the United Nations to be a free and independant nation, chances are good, they would lose Hong Kong as well. As a result, China has to win Taiwan. There can not be alot of bloodshed, otherwise they lose. They know this.

Taiwan will continue to operate independently for the next 100 years. Slowly China will bring them into the fold, as the marginalize them, while at the same time increasing ties to the mainland, and exert force into the South China Sea.

China has more to gain by going west for land acquisition. However before they do that, their economy needs to be stronger and more self reliant. The basically need to build more ties to Europe, Africa, and South America. They also need to Marginalize and weaken the USA and Europe. This takes time. That's my take anyway. In a 100 years, things could be different. Alot different.

there is but we've lost the spine to make the sacrafice to stand against communism, we can stop them but the west have become weak cowards with no pride or ambition, eventually it'll be our turn and if we keep letting china do whatever they want our histories, beliefs, cultures and way of life will all be destroyed for the sake of a global Chinese empire.

subjugating hong kong is more symbolic than anything, to show the world how weak the west is, that we are cowards who won't fight for democracy and civil rights, to extinguish all hope for those fighting for democracy and the rights of the people.

if we do nothing China will have won, this is a turning point and we're just letting our last chance to save ourselves and the world slip through our fingers, good bye liberty we'll join you soon.

The shame should be in how we acquired them, from the opium wars. Which shows to this day the drug lords are in government or able to heavily influence them.

If the Chinese people want to change their government that is upto them not us.

With 1.3 billion controlled by corrupted officials it should be breaking down along the same methods used thorough out history.
Spread the word build support and courage to resist and fight.

So in the age of protecting the vulnerable - who are you going to send into the battle against communism?

If you wreck their economy they use it to gain support. If you physically attack they will use it gain support.

The downfall will be by spreading truthful information of scandals and who is responsible.
Starting at the local levels and moving up the chain. Sowing the seeds of injustice.
Why do you think they control the internet so well.

Hong Kong needs to spread their benefits and freedoms into China mainland, get those people to see the darkside of CCP life.
Not the western world.

wish we had half the toughness of these protestors.

Yep it wont end well for many of them but I think its a little early to claim it is all for naught.

Before covid kicked off it was talked about that they have nothing left to lose, so many of them are all in on at least stalling the ccp from wrecking their homes and people.

Keep watching. Every move the CCP makes from here on out will backfire.

Make sure everyone you know understands just how evil the CCP is (not the good Chinese people). Make sure they can't make us complacent with cheap goodies or bullied with threats to trade deals etc.. Make sure your representatives know you will not tolerate them turning a blind eye. You will not support the big tech companies secretly supporting their oppressive spy infrastructure.

When the whole world exposes them, then maybe their own people will see through the veil and that is the only way this ends for them.

CYRUS PARSA explains the horrifying truth of what is really behind the CCP in his video: "AI: THE PLAN TO INVADE HUMANITY".

Amazingly, it's still on YTube - watch before it's removed: www.youtube.com...

Dying isn’t worse than succumbing to Communism. They need to resist or die trying. Live free or die isn’t just New Hampshire’s State motto.
