I hate catch phrases, it's like reality TV for even dumber people.

Everyone is using the "buzz phrase", the new normal. Every time I see it, I want to punch a cute puppy(and I love dogs). It's just so moronic, so manipulated and is literally the epitome of group think.

Short rant, but sweet....IMO

I'm going to get my wife to sew a little cover for one of the organic cotton face masks I bought for the times I have to wear one (she sells her stuff at Whole Foods, and I deliver, and a couple of stores and requiring them)...

"F*CK your
'New Normal'"

I'm just glad I don't have to hear various tenses of the word "misogyny" any more. I was at the point of ripping my hair out with that one!

The New Normal
Social Distancing
Novel
The Curve/Flatten The Curve
Elective treatments (as in, "one's cancer treatment is an elective and not necessary", pffffffft)

All of them make me more than a little disappointed that there's no gators up here to knock them out and toss them at.

What gets me about this phrase,, '' new normal'' is that it demonstrates how far behind reality those who use it are. There will be no ''new normal'' cuz from now on there will be no ''normal'' at all.

"It's not a question of if, but when" ... that one makes me have to use the bathroom.

Catch-phrases, buzz-words, nicknames are all for the lazy-minded. Good rant.

"If you will" used in some very odd ways.

Wait until your father comes home.
Clean that plate, there are kids' starving in China.
Do as I say,not as I do!
I had to walk 10 miles to school in 2 feet of snow when I was a kid.

These may not be "catch phrases" but they are rated PG and suitable
for all.

I could do with less talk about how we are all "heroes"

If you're doing the same job you've been doing for a decade, you're a hero.

If you're staying home and not doing the same job you've done for a decade, you're a hero.

If you deliver pizzas, you're a hero.

If you make a silly YouTube video about having fun stuck at home, you're a hero.

Me, I'm doing the same things I was doing before this germaphobia started, except I'm more conscious of how much toilet paper I use and I have to make an appointment to get a haircut.

I'm glad I'm a villain.

Yes..probably a reality "She is only party human being" "Hands that move her are invisible"

Talking Heads - The Great Curve

Sometimes the world has a load of questions
Seems like the world knows nothing at all
The world is near but it's out of reach
Some people touch it, but they can't hold on

She is moving to describe the world
Night must fall now-darker, darker
She has messages for everyone
Night must fall now-darker, darker
She is moving by remote control
Night must fall now-darker, darker
Hands that move her are invisible
Night must fall now-darker, darker

The world has a way of looking at people
Sometimes it seems that the world is wrong
She loves the world, and all the people in it
She shakes 'em up when she start to walk

She is only party human being
Divine, to define, she is moving to define, so say so, so say so
She defines the possibilities
Divine, to define, she is…

I agree. Fight back. Counter it with a pithy come-back.

"It's the new normal."
"Well it WILL be with that attitude."

"It's the new normal."
"There's nothing normal about it!"

"It's the new normal."
"What a menacing incantation!" *do the hex sign with your fingers*

"It's the new normal."
"Want fries with that kool-aide?"

Your turn, ATS... let's arm this frustrated ATS member with a plethora of pithy come-backs!

I love all of those! I absolutely hate the phrase “the new normal”. I want to throat punch people who say it, and I’m so sick of hearing it on TV.
