If I were Musk I would take this shut down opportunity to start cleaning out all my factories and facilities in California and start looking for a new home. I have no doubt there are many other states that would love to have his industry in their states and with certain incentives and state tax laws I am sure he could improve his profitability

Here's what I say to Elon:

You're a smart dude. You built a company in California, which is now repaying you with pain you do not deserve. Don't be angry, though; be smart. Accept the lesson and come to Alabama. We'll appreciate those jobs, and we have a cutting-edge technology base here that puts California to shame. On top of that, our cost of living is a small fraction of that in California and our people can work for less and still have more.

Dump the progressive ideology and come on down for a visit. We're more than you have been told we are. Much more.

To Lorena Sanchez:

I would like to personally thank you for your continued efforts to help Alabama and the other "flyover" states in our quest to achieve the American Dream for our people. Please, keep up the good work. As a gesture of good will, we will even repay your efforts if you wish: say the word, and we will exile Her Majesty Queen Ivey to your wonderful state. All we ask in return is that you keep her.

You're welcome.

Little known secret which maybe I should not give away.

Northern Alabama has a city with one of the highest IQ rates in the entire nation, with one of the highest percentage of PhD's in the nation, with one of the highest number of engineers in the nation, with a population that has one of the highest percentage of completed college degrees in the nation, with a high school in the top 100 of the entire nation. A city which most people have never heard of, which is a really really good thing for those of us who live here.

In some ways I'd like to keep that a secret and keep away people from California, New York, New Jersey, Oregon, Washington because they will come in and spoil our secret little good thing with socialist policies that drive away ambition and drive away people who work hard for their money and will drive away people who are truly intelligent but not using their intelligence to oppress others.

Not like the PC Hollywood/Media/Tree hugging types who think they are smarter than everyone else and so have the duty to tell everyone else how to live their lives down to the smallest detail, because they have money and lots of social media. I'd rather those types not know about the real northern Alabama behind the facade in the media of ignorant deplorables, and keep it the way it is.

Right now it is made up of super intelligent people who work hard and yes make a very decent living AND who are too busy with real high level jobs to try and force everyone else to think and speak as they do.

The neo-Democrats/socialists are intent on forcing everyone to think and speak and behave as they do. I really don't want them to know about our city and to stay far far away from us.

Really, you want Musk to come to Alabama and ruin it by his liberal pals discovering and destroying this secret little good thing?

Eh, you make a good point... but in my defense I offered to exchange Queen Ivey for him. At least he brings jobs instead of shutting them down.

Sometimes you have to take the good with the bad.

Well getting rid of Ivey would not be a bad thing for sure. She is old as them thar hills and I'm not sure about her cognition when she is off the script/teleprompter.

I'll take the good with the bad.

BUT I don't want Musk's oppressive, repressive, anti-liberty, dictatorial , liberal "friends" over running this secret good thing. That is just to much to bargain with. Besides the city is starting to get too big as it is and the secret is bound to get out, attracting those on the run from the extortionist taxes of liberal cities, while demanding their new town behave in the same way that caused extortionist taxes to begin with.

This secret city has plenty of jobs, well had, until Ivey ruined small business and continues to ruin many small businesses with "good for you" dictatorial orders to save 1% of the population from dying of COVID 19. Once Ivey gets out of the way the city will return to having too few people to fill the jobs in the service industry.

To readers from outside Alabama: This is a joke, really, this city does not exist. How could it? After all Alabama is the land of ignorant racists, sexists and overly religious people, the media is right, listen to them. PLEASE do me a favor and believe me and not research this. It is all a lie, the city doesn't exist. We are just a bunch of stupid, ignorant hicks that if you are a liberal/progressive or Democrat, you would puke to be in our presence, so STAY AWAY.

Oh, trust me, if Elon Musk did move his factories to Alabama, our fascist ways and backwards attitudes would have him going back to California at a dead run... we would have his jobs and he could live the sweet life surrounded by his buddies. Telecommuting is a thing now, ya know?

Of course, that is assuming we can con... I mean convince... him to believe that mythical city exists...

I have seen no articles where they are cleaning out his facilities and preparing to move. Only that he is upset with the state for keeping the businesses closed and has intended to reopen those plants.

Maybe I missed it if it came out within the last day or so but I wouldn't open back up again. Offer the current employees jobs at your new facility if they are willing to relocate and say see you later California ill go somewhere where the product and people are appreciated.

First NY on Amazon and now Cali with Tesla, very nice.

Come to Texas! We'll open for business and have been pushing through this Coronovirus with swift and decisive action, we may have a couple bad apples like Dallas Judges, but overall we have a resilient and strong TX Gov and AG to help with Goverment overrreach.

Texas has been golden.

If I was Elon, I'd go full legend and raise my own nationwide lockdown protests with armed participants and massive mockery of the fearful nothings who have enabled the fascists to hose the nation in the name of a goddamned flu virus.

Swing for the necks so, if they try to duck, their dome gets buckled in.

Ok I shall explain.

He has not only made Tesla the only car company to turn a profit more than any other vehicle manufacturer and paid back all loans.
Has also created the need for many jobs in doing just that here.
He has more than one space launch facility that have also created jobs.
He is also going to put men in space.
I mean I can go on my dude.

Can we safety assume his near future game changer ‘Tesla Smart Home’ with a more efficient air conditioning system will not be built in CA...lol He is reaching out in many different directions.

Aren't they the ones begging for a handout, no demanding a bailout because they are losing massive revenue

In theory, Musk and his companys are also being bailed out with green energy grants and subsidies ... but perhaps he's just functioning as an organizational frontman ..

By "they" I meant California is begging for handouts from the Federal Government
while at the same time claiming their economy is supporting the federal government and red states.

sorry this wasn't clear, I'll change it if it is not too late.

tell you what....let calif keep all the surplus tax money we send to the fed's to be handed out to those welfare queens of red states that always get more that they put in, and we'll call it even.
