The judge asked prosecutor Brandon Van Grack if Flynn could have been charged with treason for his convos with the Russian ambassador. Van Grack said that in terms of the evidence, that wasn't something the govt was considering charging at the time



It seems that the judge may have been inspired by a misunderstanding of Flynn’s contacts with Turkey, which Flynn had also lied about. Sullivan said that Flynn had acted “an unregistered agent of a foreign country, while serving as the national security adviser to the president of the United States.”

The accusations get tossed around quite a bit by the right too.

Like I said, there is nothing, at this point, stopping the AG from throwing the book at Flynn. All over again.

Yes, I am well aware of the entire thing unfortunately. I believe there had to be more than just protecting his son,

in that this is a very common tactic used by lawyers to pressure people into pleading.

Flynn had to know he was being railroaded with what they had and determined that he was not going to be able to prove it until a later time, so he pled and continued legally challenging.

And here we are.

BTW Flynn is shady as the rest of them but in this he is exonerated.

So you think it is a common thing for the DOJ to drop charges against a defendant that has plead guilty to their charges and is awaiting sentencing?

I think you should look up the definition of "lying", because that's not what I did. I said that Flynn's crime "bordered on treason". It does. He lied to the President of the United States, and his VP about being a foreign agent, paid by Turkey, and that he and his son were involved in a kidnapping scheme of an American resident on their behalf.

Flynn was coerced in to the "plea" deal with threats by the FBI people he knew were dirty.

"Lying" to Pence was part of the deal, and Trump said go along with it because we can use it later to expose the BS artists with Mueller 🤣🤣🤣🤣
