Ive told this on here before... and I didnt know it was actually a thing. Im NOT a hippy, nor was I ever. My cousin on the other hand became one. He got enlightened on the rez.. and became a big hit with the chicks. They all traveled all over and were typical smelly hippies. My grandmother had a family get together and my cousin and his entourage showed up stinking like BO ,patchouli ,and hippysweat. She told him to go wash his ass or he wasnt coming in the house. He told her that he couldnt wash off his oils and such as they were a protective layer.
You dont understand how funny your post is to me.. mainly because this event and conversation are legendary in the family. LOL! Shes been dead over 20 years, but I sure wish I could tell her about the Stratum Coreum as associated with hippies being a real thing!!!
