Coming from a person who has how many cows in his barns and fields?

Got any chickens for eggs so you can make cookies? Oh yeah, you can trade beef for eggs, never mind.

Hopefully this is not going to interfere with my buying of my side of beef this fall. I hope not, I have been dealing with these people for years, if they have the beef I will get the beef. I just hope they don't cut my half lower than a quarter, we really like the way their beef tastes compared to the crap in most grocery stores.

Here in NJ we've been told that the state won't reopen anytime soon, but I'm working almost 12 hours a day.

NJ can reopen now, no difference for me. I'm too f# tired to go out.

So screw the economy, the civilization and everything in the middle, so I can sleep more, go fishing and hunting and get drunk.

I'm not terrified of social distancing, washing my hands, wearing a medical mask in public, or having to stay at home for a week or so.

I don't like needles, but as a diabetic, that is my lot (at the moment?), so I suffer through.

He was attacking both our chickens, and our other ducks... causing injuries.

He was delicious. My wife cooked him in the crock pot.

ETA: That was three days ago. All of the birds are now well behaved...

Those of us in the "boonies", that raise our own food... we'll be OK for awhile.

People that live in urban areas may not fare well, if shortages occur. That could cause problems.

I really hope it doesn't come to that...

agreed, I fear some cities may struggle to come back, with or without meat.

The economic hit to Oregon's restaurants and hospitals etc..is staggering.

Kate Brown will go down in history...but not in a good way.
I am afraid for Portland, if they don't get opened back up asap...

There will be no shortages in the US IMO. You might not get what you want, you will get what you need.

GA has already worked out and is working on alternate supply lines to get the food from the producers to the stores and restaurants.

There are some countries that do not produce much food and they could end up hurting.

Too bad GA hasn't dredged it's ports yet. We are open and should be able to export some food.
