Chinese Ambassador to Australia Cheng Jingye said Beijing could encourage Chinese citizens to boycott Australian exports and products if Australia was to initiate the probe, the news outlet reported.
Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne called the Chinese threats “economic coercion” and repeated calls for an investigation into the early handling of the outbreak, which is thought to have originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan.

So, what happens when the inevitable American congressional investigation comes about?

Will the CCP( China Communist Party) government dare threaten America?

I don’t see how China can justify being offended or threatening a country for doing an examination of what happened in China during the initial outbreak? What are we suppose to do forget about the origin of COVID 19?
What, the world is supposed to not try to find out what happened?

What are they afraid of?

It's that whole face saving thing. They, the CCP, have tried to blame everything, other than the lab, for the existence of Cov19 and are likely a wee bit worried about being caught out for the lying dog faced pony soldiers they are.

Seriously WTF do they expect. The entire global economy has just been thrown under a bus with the expectation of many people living in crushing poverty for the next decade or two. Well, perhaps all the Covid affected countries should Just send China the bill for all the medical, economic and social payouts the respected governments are issuing.
Or, allow countries (Anyone but China themselves, WHO or the UN) to look into what happened without the threat of further economic instability.

I would withdraw recognition of the People’s Republic of China as the legitimate state of China and instead recognise the Republic of China.

That would rile them up.

Yep, totally agree. And that sort of garbage is just the tip of the iceberg. Unfortunately we have quite a significant number of CCP employees and apologists, virtually all of them are ex-politicians who are nothing more than spineless dogs that would sell the whole damn country if it put a quid in their pockets.
