On March 15, 2020 I posted a thread titled Something wicked this way comes...again. The purpose of the thread was to take a look at the past, present, and future infringements of human rights, as well as social engineering using a crisis as the agent of change. I made some observations in the OP regarding expectations in the immediate future and also in the longer term. I call them observations and not predictions because anyone paying attention could have observed the same patterns I have. In fact, there were other members who alluded to it. You know who you are. I said in the OP…

…I felt it necessary to emphasize the gravity of the situation in the U.S. as well as the rest of the world. Governments, politicians, diplomats, media moguls, corporate interests, and others with great resources have always been willing to sacrifice the common good for goals and agendas.

the world is about to change in a similar fashion to the way it changed post 911. There is much we now accept as "normal" that we would not have accepted so readily before.

Previous to 911, if a stranger in an airport with a uniform on who has no real qualifications to be called an “officer” had attempted to grope your spouse and child, that person would have been digesting their own teeth for the next 12 hours. Now, it’s acceptable to have your personal belongings rummaged, your family groped, and even strip-searched if an “officer” of the TSA deems it appropriate. It’s acceptable to have your privacy and your person invaded without shame or recourse. It’s now a fact of life that the alphabet agencies are spying on your personal communications and can suspend posse comitatus because…TERRORISTS.

I also said...

…entities are actively involved in taking advantage of the opportunities the present "crisis" affords. Whether it is not as bad as the media portends it to be, or it is several times worse, those who govern and those with resources are using it to their advantage first, and thinking of YOU only as is necessary to achieve their goals.

and this...

Social engineering using a crisis as the agent of change is still a viable means to an end.

How often have we heard, “it is a post-911 world”? I have said several times in the past month and more, we will now be hearing “it’s a post Coronavirus world”. What did I see in the news this morning? T hese Stocks Will Thrive In A Post-Coronavirus World.

Coronavirus was and is a means to an end. An agent used to get you to freely give up more of your constitutional rights in the name of safety, and they will not be given back. A “post coronavirus world” is the new norm, just like a post-911 world was. You WILL accept the new norm, because you gave up your rights freely. And just like terrorism, coronavirus is re-usable over and over again because they are both real threats to some degree, and because they are, you will accept the new norm in a post coronavirus world.

You will accept ever increasing draconian measures and invasions of your privacy to keep you and your loved ones safe, because who doesn't want to be safe?

You will accept google and apple's "contact tracing" to find out who you've been associating with because you or they might have infected others, right?
You will accept an ever increasing virtual world where many things you once did face to face can only be done digitally and online now.

You will accept random and permanent social distancing, stay at home orders, school and business closings and other directives from state governors(Czar's) who have now tasted their new powers.

You will accept random testing with less than accurate results, and you will accept a health record that is easily accessible and on your person at all times with a quick scan any time, any where.

You will accept all these and more because it's for your own good.

Welcome to a post coronavirus world.

It is disturbing the number of people who are convinced we're living Contagion because the media says so and because the government wouldn't do all this for nothing, right?

They've got people good. I keep waiting for folks to just look around and realize that no one is dropping dead and that no one is going to drop over dead at the rates the press keeps telling us they will, but no one wants to wake up. They keep wanting to be scared.

And so long as they're scared all this crap makes them feel safe.

I can believe it to an extent. Remember all of these "lock down" orders were only supposed to last for a short time to get us through the peak of infection to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed? And yet even though throughout most of the country the hospitals were never overwhelmed (exceptions being super large cities, but who knows really?) most states are STILL on lock down. Even those starting to open up slightly have strict measures in place- like $1000 fine for not wearing a mask, etc. It's gone above and beyond anything acceptable at this point and looking more and more just like post-911 bull crap that is still with us all these years later.

I was okay with people being asked to avoid contact for a few weeks to save lives (in my state we have not been ordered to stay at home, just to not gather in large-ish groups) but I'm definitely not okay with living this way indefinitely, which seems to be what they are pushing for.

Disturbing indeed. How quickly and easily people have given up their personal liberties because the purveyors of propaganda say so.

March 12th I authored a Rant.

From AOC to Biden to Bernie to Pelosi to Trump to Dirt-ass-face politician!

STOP IT!

JUST STOP IT!

We, as Americans should not have to rely on "government" to save us.

Just shut up and get out of the way.

We are not a Nanny-State. Adults should be able to take care of themselves. People should be able to take care of themselves.

We should be able to determine our own fate, our own destinies.

Go AWAY Government! Your meddling only will make things worse, enable reliance on government, and grow government.

Get away from the entitlement mindset!

Government won't save us from the Fu-Man Flu.

We can save ourselves if we can only stop for just a moment from being whiny babies and take care of ourselves.

Kinda promised this would happen, like the Chinese social credit system
We will have a cashless society soon, implement a world religion and if you don’t go to the authorised place of worship.
No question, this, 9/11, take away guns, what next, I can’t imagine.

Guess, financial collapse and no internet, now that would be devastating

What do those NWO cards say?

People can really throw a wrench in tracking plans by....leaving their phones home or at least in their cars when out.
Mine never leaves my nightstand and very seldom leaves the second floor of the house at all, so I'm already good there. My husband has been "forgetting" his phone when we leave more often (lol, I don't think its just absentmindedness, either) WHOOPS! Can't GPS track what doesn't move!

Look into google and apple's "contact tracing" and read between the lines. It's one step beyond.

Apple and Google announced they were working on the contact tracing system, which works across iOS and Android mobile device, on April 10, and detailed how the opt-in network would use randomized IDs not tied to a user’s actual identify information to communicate potential contacts with individuals with a confirmed positive COVID-19 diagnosis. It’s a decentralized system that never collects any geographic data in order to preserve individual privacy, and Apple and Google chose to collaborate on the project so that any apps built to use it will have the furthest potential reach possible in terms of user base.

And if folks believe everything in this paragraph, I've got a gold mine I'm willing to sell cheap.

Oh, no ... you've got one thing wrong. There will be internet. None of this would be possible without it creating the mental bubbles needed to induce this level of control. Without people tapped in 24/7 to their little social media rooms, they wouldn't be able to control people with their scripted reality in defiance of actual relity.

Folks, the Ministry of Truth is here. The only question is whether or not you're strong enough to continue to believe what you know or what they tell you.

How many times has someone asked if, "Haven't you ever wondered if maybe you were wrong because everyone else around thinks something else?"

That's what they're creating using social media, and that's why the internet has to stay. It amplifies that effect.

If the Congress stands firm and does not financially bail-out (reward) the states for shutting down over a relatively minor epidemic, we're not likely to see orders that keep us at home again.

Although I dispute your accusation of rectal/cranial inversion. If it were proven to be true, that would be two things we have in common:

1. Living just down the road from a hot spot.

2. The alleged anatomical anomaly.

I completely expect we will start to see the narrative being shaped on the term "decentralized."

I believe that true decentralization is the biggest threat to a great many aims and goals, so gotta get folks fighting for/against their version of so-called "decentralization."

I wouldnt even be surprised to see something like Alphabet Inc start calling themselves "decentralized."

Certainly in the UK, if the mainstream media are to be believed, I think we have just seen the next step in a move towards a Conservative Socialist State.

It was not that long ago that the British Government started experimenting on mandatory work activity as part of the overhaul of Universal Credit. With this unemployment benefit, if you were assigned to mandatory workfare and refused, your benefits could be stopped. Now, I actually think that at a point that this would be beneficial in a way that the deliberately unemployed prefer to earn a pittance for visiting the job centre once a week, but I would be starting on an obscure tangent.

The point is though, that in today's COVID-19 Government briefing the Environment Secretary made remarks to the effect of staff currently being paid by the British Government under furlough rules, should be "encouraged to help with the food harvest." Sky News Coverage.

There have already been farms and supplier advertising for staff, in the same way that supermarkets have recruited hundreds of staff with a core remit towards the home delivery system. It appears that a flight or two of Romanian fruit pickers arriving in the UK last week has indicated a response.

So when all these furloughed staff find their company has shut down, and moved onto Universal Credit, what then? The Government will have already proven it works.... can they finally convince benefit claimants into work for their benefits....

Believe it or not Raggedy, I can actually see a march toward similar objectives to what you're saying, which is one reason I think churches should have refused to close their doors. If religious freedom is not preserved, neither will the rest of the first amendment be.

I'm hoping that even if Congress caves the Senate will hold strong. As much as I can't stand Mitch McConnell I can get behind him this time.
