Who's watching or critiquing Sweden? No lock downs there. Where's the outrage?

Me too, hopefully it starts calming down a bit.

I'm fine with people not being sure exactly what's happening as long as they admit that fact as context.

Tell you what though the next MF'er that tells me to stay home, wash my hands etc that's not a medical professional or epidemiologist and just wants to virtue signal might just get a tongue lashing...sick of that crap

Thank you very much. I actually enjoy speaking most with those whom I can disagree with and have enjoyed conversing.

Funnily enough you should post it because I kid you not I was thinking of shooting you pm expressing the same sentiments.

Credit to yourself

It 100% has to do with the political alignment of their government.

Take Trump for example, CNN and the anti-Trump propaganda machines are all screeching he has blood on his hands etc. etc. however, they don't say boo about Sweden's socialists government except that time will tell.

That is a bias dependent upon political ideology.

Imagine the hysteria if Boris Johnson took this approach in the UK as an example.

Who cares about USA political crap in a non USA politics thread!

Is it not possible to put this type of clap trap in the Mud pit?

Sick and tired of USA politics spilling over into non USA threads.

Appreciate it back. Its way more fun when it is like this and not slinging mud. Most people I disagree with here I'd have a drink with anyway because I come form a good ole Irish Catholic Background and arguments at the dinner table were something you came prepared for lol. You knew it was conversation and in the end most are very similar. Cheers!

You seem to lack basic cognitive abilities, this thread is regarding Swedens pandemic response.

The US has been mentioned along with Australia and the UK.

Can't personal grievances go in the Rant section and not derail other threads?

Brilliant, on my Mums side we are Maltese so can relate to the animated dinner discussions on various topics where the understanding was that it was all just discussion.

Can't comment regarding US media but there have been a number of articles about Sweden's response in UK media.

I love it. Makes us better people.

Wasn't it great having friend over who weren't used to that freedom of expression?

Some of my friends thought it was a circus and they were freaked out by me standing up to my father in an argument.

As long as I had some logic it would actually be encouraged even by the parent who disagreed.

They just wanted to see some logic in your point. Love it. Keep it going for the next generation.

Checking your post history you know very well where this thread is heading when the usual bunch wake up!

He followed the same exact same 'herd immunity' approach as Sweden up until recently.

There was no hysteria or outrage.

You busted me, I'm master minding yet another thread to lead in to a conversation about US politics. I'm an evil thread genius.

Your grievance isn't even with me yet based on what 'the usual bunch' might say when they wake up.

I get your sentiment but don't use me to try and prove it and ultimately, go start a thread about something that inter eests you! Be the example man!

In fairness to Johnson (and I may need to shower after posting this) he seems to have sensibly followed the scientific advice he was been given at the time.

Agreed and I think it's great they put public health in front of their own public image. The approach followed the data and numbers, lockdown was only introduced as a 'last resort' due to people not following the social distancing guidelines and once the containment phase of the virus had elapsed. Apart from the whole lack of PPE and testing, there's pretty much nothing I can fault the government on pandemic-wise.

If you read the article in the OP Sweden are not actually attempting herd immunity and blasted Trump for suggesting they were.

I have seen and heard plenty of outrage towards him here in Australia, Bojo that is
