What happens when there enough charity donations to keep food banks going?
And unlike private individuals the ability of government to provide expands in economic downturns.

They die. Thanks for making my argument for me.

Only temporarily... until the well runs dry or hyperinflation kicks in...

Not sure where you were making that argument.

Get back to me when you can make an intelligible coherent comment.

...and when there isn't enough for me to be charitable, because I don't have enough for me?? It's reached that point for far too many, already.
What then??
Odds are very good that it won't reach that point, but given the level of hysteria, it wouldn't overly surprise me, either.
I am, after all, something of a pessimist
There is no lock down on food production, distribution or retail. The impact is from panic buying and sickness. Both of which would be much worse without the lockdown.

Because that's what happens when the government just says # it and starts running the printing presses non-stop...

Crops are rotting in the field because, no one to harvest the crops, processing facilities shut down, supply trucks with no drivers, no crops imported from Mexico, border closed... this is where the food chain break is occurring as we speak.

You probably don't know this, but most of the field workers, food processors, and workers in the ag food production industry in the US are Mexicans.
Aside from grain production, the San Joaquin valley in California, is Americas breadbasket.
The border is closed from both sides. Odd how little covid 19 there is in Mexico.
If you are going to argue for a particular agenda, it helps to argue from a position of knowledge and you simply don't have it. Hope this helps...

Your post is nothing but your opinion versus mine. You made your point in my other thread that you support government instituted lockdowns, erosions of rights and economic destruction. You are part of the problem.

People working are getting salary cuts while people on unemployment make more at home than they did at work.
