At the very least, it was a super creepy performance and I am still looking for its connection to Olympics in any way. Who on earth would think that is appropriate for an opening ceremony of an all-ages event?

I do remember thinking it was damn creepy, arch and seemed to be trying to tell us something very directly. But in this case it’d be damn odd if it didn’t…

I don’t want this to sound patronising - I just want to articulate this to back up my reading of the ceremony…

…What makes a great director (or artists in general for that matter) is that they present startling images in narratives that imbue and contextualise them with a sense of far greater meaning than they’d have in their own right. Normally such ceremonies are in the hands of lessor artists, but in the hands of the director of Trainspotting and 28 Days Later is it surprising that we got such compelling and powerfully disturbing imagery in a narrative that seems to be sending a message?

If they’d hired Richard Curtis to make it we’d have gotten rom-com cliches and bad jokes. Danny Boyle gave us the stuff of nightmares - go figure.

Boyle’s always come across as someone who’s liberal minded, anti-establishment, anti-systems of control and management. Unlike most A-list directors he refuses to work with studios that want to influence his choices and take final cut from him. He’s talked about having this awful experience making his first big studio movie The Beach, in which he wasn’t allowed to make the film the way he wanted. He was recently hired to make the latest Bond movie, but quit midway through pre-production because he wasn’t being allowed to do it his way. He’s the farthest thing from a director-for-hire.

So, doesn’t a proven auteur with liberal tendencies who refuses to follow orders and who has no love for tptb be the very last person a sinister cabal would hire to conceive and direct their very specific portent to the masses?

Taking all of this into account, the ceremony’s not so hidden warning of threats to the NHS and those whom depend upon it could easily read as just that. Liberal, perhaps even socialist minded Boyle’s warning to us all that evil forces of wealth and malevolent institutional power are more then ever now trying to take these things away from us. An attempt to make the country see this, recognise the urgency and fight to protect our hard fought for benevolent institutions, such as the NHS and welfare state.

Bear in mind that the UK’s social-political landscape at the time was one of austerity and savage cuts to the NHS and welfare state. Boyle came out swinging in the fight back against austerity with this ceremony. In that light it’s a triumphant piece of work to be treasured, and poignantly ironic that it’s instead read by some as the work of the very evil forces it’s railing against.

Please all, watch it again with this in mind and without the daft ‘evil ritual’ text telling you what to think…

(4)Explain with facts and figures that support your stand that Ivermectin is not safe.
(5)Strictly refrain from sharing your views on Ivermectin for COVID-19 till you address points 1, 2, 3 and 4 above.

The IBA have accused Dr Swaminathan of malfeasance and deliberately spreading disinfo as well as suppressing information about use and efficacy of Ivermectin in the prevention and treatment of C19 and of ignoring or denying case law in India.

Each monitoring team has two members, who visit homes in villages and remote hamlets to test everyone with symptoms of COVID-19 using Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) kits. Those who test positive are quickly isolated and given a medicine kit with advice on disease management. All the contacts of those who test positive are quarantined and tested using an RT-PCR at home by a rapid response team.

For some unknown reason the WHO doesn't elaborate on the contents of the Kit

Glad to see the Indian's are taking no s**t off anyone still. Love the fact we have had to start calling the Indian variant Delta now. Very glad to see they are still rolling out the 'covid kits' too. It will all come out in the wash eventually, but not until an awful lot more lives have been unnecessarily been curtailed sadly.

There has been some uncertainty and nervousness about the possibility of the spike proteins in the ovaries after the bio distribution paper from Japan is obtained and reviewed. Let’s review this document.

So a possible / maybe / females could have the problem if the study is proven to be true then it would mean poor or rushed testing protocols.

Final update on Pfizer Vaccine taken Sat 05 June : Feel fine, nothing observed.
We'll see what the 2nd one brings on the 12 July, or sooner if they bring it up a bit.
They have reduced the time to 2nd Vaccine to 21 days for Pfizer/Moderna iirc.

Somehow UK is now double the French cases.
Our cases seem to have dropped, but Indian2/Delta2 variant is apparently at 50-150 cases per day, as per Olivier Veran, Health minister i think.
We'll see in a few weeks, especially after the football.

The Guardian had an article on the Vaccines, and their effect on the variants etc.
They basically say that the Vaccines work less on the variants, but mostly after only one dose.
They do lower the efficacy of the vaccine.
The vaccine isn't changing, its the variant that gets through more frequently.
(Well the vaccine is technically changing in your body iirc, making multiple answers to a possible viral attack.)

TheAMEDDDoc might be able to expand/correct on that.

Basically, countries (rich) are trying to get both vaccines done asap.
Its a sudden rush to get everyone over 12, or 16, vaccinated before any more variants arrive.
In the hopes that it will protect against them as well. So far, it seems so.
It's always "wait two weeks and see" with this sort of thing.

Are you saying that AZ is being allowed to jab people without even getting the EUA? How is that even legal?

It has EUA in the U.K. This is from December 30th:

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said on Tuesday it may decline to review and process new emergency use authorization requests for Covid-19 vaccines for the rest of the pandemic, if a company has not already begun discussions.

How exactly are the FDA defining ‘discussions’ isn’t clear, but according to this part further down the article AstraZeneca has had ‘discussions’ with the FDA:

AstraZeneca also has discussed plans for its COVID-19 vaccine with U.S. officials. However, the Wall Street Journal earlier this month reported that it was considering skipping U.S. emergency-use authorization and instead pursue the more time-intensive application for a full-fledged license to sell the shot. AstraZeneca and Novavax did not immediately respond to requests for comment

Why not apply for EUA, while pursuing the more time intensive application for a full licence? My guess would be that they don’t expect to succeed in getting emergency approval.

No, I wouldn’t want to be interviewed about it either if the answer was that we wouldn’t get a US EUA, despite getting it in the U.K. and millions in Europe (including yours truly) receive the vaccine. That’s a can of worms.

So, are the FDA making their decisions based upon efficacy, or profits? It’s sounding more like the former, but to look into the latter would require someone more skilled than me following the money.

On the face of it it seems Novavax is still developing, whereas AZ is now proven to be too risky.

I wish I had saved it, but a little while ago the CEO of FDA in a video interview said non of his family or himself would be getting any of the jabs as things stand just now.
He also added things were not looking good for fully licensing ANY of the jabs in 2023.
Adding that his responsibility is to the public and nor Pharma.
