A Salute

I'd like to acknowledge some of the best "back page" commentary I've seen since I first took an interest in reading these boards. I've never much desired the work that must come with a moderator's role, but man I wish I had the ability to drop Applause on some of what I've read. Both sides of The Argument have developed orators (-vs- people who toss out a timely insult or quip). I think we're witnessing the birth of the next generation of ATSers. Some old ... some new ... maybe some re-treads ... some sleepers who have awoken.

This thread isn't for me. Let's give out some pats-on-the-back. I getta go first:

Kind'a new guy here myself. I tip my hat to Xtrozero.

If ATS ever gets back to site sanctioned debates, writing, and organized research groups I'll be very impressed. I see the occasional gems. But, it's nothing like the 15 page compilations on one given topic from back in the day.

Glad to see there's some prospects around. My pint glass is raised.

What do you expect of a systematic plan to dumb down civilization? Grown adults do not know how to 'cursive write' and 'print' letters like a 3rd grader.

I’ve been here since 2008, so my list (if I drew one up) would be pretty extensive…

I read more than I post on Ats…so if I did a “saluting list”; half the posters on it wouldn’t even know who I was lol…Or they'd be like…oh that’s the guy who lives in the RFT section lol

It’s more like “clown pants” on vacation these days by the looks of things (not me…the others lol)

Stars are nice an all but when someone finally Groks (I stole your word…Yes!!!) your posts, it’s worth it’s weight in Gold…
