What’s the evidence there is a pandemic at all?

There's about 1.5 million reasons this is a pandemic.

The pandemic is very real. 5G is not the issue. Stupidity and impatience are the underlying cause of it's continued spread.

There's millions of people out of work, not just you. We're all going through much the same scenario. Take off those self imposed blinders and smell the roses. There's serious happenings going on in the world. 5G has literally nothing to do with it.

Being a conspiracy minded person, my thinking is that the big push for this 5G conspiracy theory is so some people focus more on this then the actual conspiracies that are happening right in front of us.

The power grab by the people in power during this. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were rooms of people tasked with amplifying this theory online for that purpose.

But that’s just crazy old me.

well, okay. sure. it is millimeter microwave. HOT!

again, in the Army, i observed some routine maintenance being performed on one of our High Powered Amplifier (HPA).... one of the soldiers accidentally activated the output while the exit waveguide was unattached....

..... it was glowing and hot... just like cooking a burrito (probably scorching the burrito).

moral: don't stand right next to the thing while it's transmitting!! (and also, from 22,000 miles above it is harmless.

I haven’t paid much attention to this 5G thing but isn’t it just another type/form or whatever of radiation?
Has ant there is another type of radiationyone that has Covid-19 been tested for radiation poisoning?
Does any other radiation poisoning cause respiratory problems like Covid-19?

Ah, "radiation." I can explain radiation to you, but I can't understand it for you. Everyone equates the word radiation with nuclear radiation. You know, the stuff waking up Godzilla, and creating Spidey sense, and causing sickness and burns and other sci-fi stuff. uclear radiation is, as some might have guessed, is associated with the nucleus of atoms. But there is another kind of radiation, associated with photons. This is called elecromagnetic radiation. If you have photons, you are going to have EM radiation. And photons are everywhere. Our sun spits out about 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 photons per second. Photons all have a wavelength associated with them, from ultraviolet to visible to infrared to microwave to cosmic and gamma at the high frequency/low wavelength end, to radio at the low freq end. Now, photons have energy proportional to frequency. So ultraviolet wave photons have a lot of energy - in fact, enough that if it hits an electron in the outer orbital of an atom, it can exceed the ionizing energy of that electron, and the electron flies off somewhere and you end up with an ion. Alternatively, the energy might just heat up molecules causng a sunburn. If it has enough energy to strip electrons, it is called ionizing radiation. Only very high energy EM raiation is ionizing. Almost all nuclear radiation is ionizing. Ionizing is bad because you really on't want to lose some random electron from the double bone nitrogen in the guanine in your DNA. Have you ever seen Hemingway's 6-toed cats? 5G is not a kin of raiation. It is a data transmission protocol use in wireless communications. If you want to worry about EM radiation, worry about those TSA body scanners in airports. It might be able to "unzip"DNA.

If there's anything to it, it would have to be in combination with some other factor, or it would be happenig everywhere (the bird die-offs at least) there is 5G, which isn't happening.

As far as Coronavirus, I'm positive its happening in places with no 5G.

I haven't seen a single person present a shred of evidence or even information about the alleged mode of action.

There is literally nothing to support this, other than all radiation is bad supposedly, regardless of facts. Your friend might be nice, but clearly doesnt know what he's talking about. The same frequencies 5G uses have been used for decades by other industries... namely the audio industry. How many musicians do you know who have cancer due to their wireless packs? None. You would think 20-30 years of having those strapped to you would cause some damage if the conspiracy nuts were even kinda right.

The only time it's dangerous is when you are in close proximity to the high powered transmitter on the building roof or mast. (Which no-one except service personnel should be). I work in telecom and have taken 5G safety classes.

Equating a low power transmitter from an amplifier pack is a bit disingenuous as they are.. low power.

Exactly.
We don’t have 5G in my neck of Canada.
And as of today, there’s 15 people in my area that have the virus.

5G is no more dangerous to human health than the already existing mobile data infrastructure. E.G. living in close proximity to a cell phone tower is bad for your health.

On another note, all forms of RF radiation are dangerous if you're literally standing right next to a transmitter. It can cause 'thermal' damaging... this is the principle upon which all modern microwave ovens operate. However at low levels of RF exposure, there's not enough evidence to suggest that there's any long term damage caused to humans. Considering we walk in a veritable melting pot of non-ionizing radio traffic literally every minute of our lives... I think we're OK.

5G is new, and has become a silly scapegoat for people whose minds are too weak to digest the reality of our situation right now. It's easier to blame new cell phone infrastructure than it is to accept the fact that a virus could potentially wipe out millions of us if we don't stay home and maintain some simple best practices in terms of hygiene and human interaction for the next several months/year.

LOL quite right.

The justice system might think otherwise - know a guy that spent 25 years in prison for a 'killing' he doesn't remember. To this day he doesn't know whether or not he did kill someone. Ah - the joys of drink.

There is no evidence that a packet radio system is carrying COVID-19.

What utter nonsense this "hypothesis" is.

I think the theory is that the type of radiation that 5G gives off is what is making everyone sick. And that the virus is a cover story.

Which really doesn’t make sense any way you look at it. If what they say is true then how is keeping us indoors going to stop cell tower radiation? We’d all be getting sick regardless.

This is probably something that will never be said again on ATS, but damn you for making me more rational.

Life was a lot easier when I could just believe whatever hair brained theory I came across.

The story going around that I've heard is that the 5G is activating dormant viruses in human beings. Somebody called it a binary affect. Being in the vicinity of an active transmitter or node. Then having a susceptible virus in your body. So it can be dependent of geographical area. A population of fish eaters might have lower accounts if it's affecting dormant pork or beef viruses. The 5G was suspected of lowering immune systems and inhibiting o2 from passing through the lungs giving a stronghold to a latent virus. Progressing to a pneumonia and then progresses into a bacterial infection. Hope this isn't true.

www.speedtest.net...

Above is the link to show 5G coverage across the globe and there is relatively more cases where there's 5G coverage but I suppose it could be because 5G was rolled out into the countries and cities which are more developed and hence more air traffic.

Oh and the initial roll out was in Wuhan China

No, it wasn't. China built over 100K 5G towers all across the country. 5G did not roll out in Wuhan.

A virus is spreading and causing people to become sick. 5G has nothing to do with it. People are really, really dumb.
