One does not have to speculate as to what society is like under a ruthless, uncaring military industrial uber-capitalist country headed by idiots...we are living it.....but I see what ya did there...attempting to put all this crap onto an imaginary boogie man from the deep and dank recesses of your tiny conservative Fox-noise fed mind. Good try...but you Trumpster worshippers own this.

Oh now I never said Trump or we that voted for him didn't own it. We own it. My point was this is temporary but it is also analogous to what life world be like after a year or two of enacting the socialist policies that some in the Dem party have proposed and that once enacted would be permanent. Happy Easter!

Your absurd assumptions aren't going to win you any points on this end, especially when the attempt is so blatantly lopsided. I.E: why is it that I'm accused of being, "an expert on Krautsalat" but ManFromEurope is not similarly challenged on his Yankee expertise?

I dunno. Life isn't fair? Could be my other sockpuppet account tho, you never know...

Socialism has its place in households & families (virtually the world over); or small, voluntary, communities and/or groups etc., but on large scale such as states or countries, it can not be sustained without force, thereby necessitating some form of authoritarianism (i.e. "Boot").

That's tyranny you're trying to legitimize, not socialism. Here we go again! Welp. Makes me wonder how the former vikings in Iceland tend to sustain their socialism, shieldwalls and raiding parties? Tell us more!

I’m just curious over one of the points brought up in the OP; ‘no point in living life’. That’s a bummer to hear. Is there nothing you do outside of work that brings you joy?

While I’m extremely glad I’m still working (which is not luck as I purposefully found a job to deem me essential) I would LOVE to be in my studio all day, every day. I spent the first 35 years of my life being broke, a few times living on someone’s couch and starving, but my creative outlets have always been there to keep me going. As long as I had my guitar with me, or even a notepad to write in, I was good to go. Obviously, if one has a family to feed I can see where the stress would be high and even unbearable at points, but I think it’s very important to have something in life to lean on when everything else is falling apart. I do hope when all this is over, you, or anyone feeling that the financial shutdown is taking away their value of life, finds something that brings you joy and if anything, is a one time fee that keeps on giving.

Or that you only attempt to disparage those that oppose your ideology.

  • I'm not trying to legitimize either. If anything, I'm eschewing both.
  • I'll assume you meant Norse or Scandinavian, as whether they were vikingur is no more relevant than if they were fishers, farmers or builders; but their heritage is of little significance regardless.
  • “Iceland is not and never was a pure socialist state.”
ref: Iceland puts socialist policies to the test and wins

A global cabal operating out of a fundamental zeal in its own belief and agendas, is changing the very fundamental way you live your lives. They are using this virus crisis to usher in new social and economic paradigms of more intrusion and less freedom, and they don't care who they kill, hurt, or maim whilst doing so, we are all expendable to their cause.

Perhaps, it we the people who should force the paradigm through peaceful uncompromising civil disobedience?

For you all...

THE ROAD TO HELL - Chris Rea
Stood still on a highway
I saw a woman
By the side of the road
With a face that I knew like my own
Reflected in my window
Well she walked up to my quarterlight
And she bent down real slow
A fearful pressure paralysed me
In my shadow
She said "Son, what are you doing here?
My fear for you has turned me in my grave"
I said "Mama, I come to the valley of the rich
Myself to sell"
She said "Son, this is the road to Hell"

On your journey 'cross the wilderness
From the desert to the well
You have strayed upon the motorway to Hell

Well I'm standing by the river
But the water doesn't flow
It boils with every poison you can think of
And I'm underneath the streetlight
But the light of joy I know
Scared beyond belief way down in the shadows

And the perverted fear of virus
Chokes the smile on every face
And common sense is ringing out the bell
This ain't no technological breakdown
Oh no, this is the road to hell

And all the roads jam up with credit
And there's nothing you can do
It's all just bits of paper flying away from you
Oh look out world, take a good look what comes down here
You must learn this lesson fast and learn it well

This ain't no upwardly mobile freeway
Oh no, this is the road
Said this is the road
This is the road to hell
