Damn, you're good!

My hobby is fishing.

What's that movement beneath the meteor?

Looks like a spaceship getting the F out of the way!

I'm all for hobbies where patience a must. I thought your did hang gliding, remember seeing a pic of you here many years back.

Those are just some satellites. They appear as lines because of long sensor exposure.

Just found an old video of another asteroid breakup taken a few years back during a night of imaging the Perseid meteor shower.

I thought your did hang gliding,

I do. Though less and less frequently. I find myself going fishing more and more often.

I just wanted to downplay myself though.

With a satellite? Satellites must attract meteors.

It has to be, no other explanation, proof is right there.
Now we now the truth why they put satellites into orbit, they protect us.

What kind of fishing?

I recently started fly fishing, love it. Although other week I managed to catch myself right between the eyes, centimetre either way and I would have done myself an injury. Who would have thought fishing was a danger sport.

Planning on getting a decent telescope and camera this year, hopefully can’t injure myself with that.

Will be pestering Intergalactic fire for tips, really impressed with your work pal. Can you send link to your other stuff please?

Fishing can be very dangerous.

Fishing I currently do:
Casting lures.
"Dunking", which is casting a baited hook and letting it sit.
(Dare I say it?) Trolling lures. Deep sea and shallow waters. 512# blue marlin, personal best.

I started before I'm old enough to remember. My father was a master fisherman.
Other types I have done, but not for ages:

Crabbing
Throw net
Gill net
Spearing

Also, gathering opihi and other shellfish.

Hey Phage, can you direct me to a tracker site for Atlas please, I tried to PM you last night but that part of ATS seemed infected... btw, I’m in the Southern Hemisphere, am I wasting my time?

Do you have a good telescope? If so, you can use this to aim it:
horizons

If not, there isn't much point right now but you can refer to this (right click and view)

It's too overcast tonight in Key West. Im thinking we will drive up to a dark area like Cudjoe Key with the telescope the next clear night. We have plenty of time now

So besides the comet’s dress is blue-green, (apologies if I missed this part) but are there any calculations as to when this thing comes ‘round. Another way: can we calculate this comet’s path elliptically? They do have a rotation right?

Is it just me, or is Venus brighter these nights?

You press down on what you want to right click and the right click options should appear.

That is the concern. What affect will it have on earth. Will anything hit us. Will the proximity cause earth changes.
