If that was why they used the footage from Italy, they should've put up a little graphic in the corner saying they were using footage from another location. Passing it off as if it was real footage from NYC is dishonest.

Is it rocket science that when they get caught doing something dishonest people are less likely to believe them in the future? If this is so serious, why are they sabotaging public trust in the media at a time when that trust is greatly needed?

Use your head. Whether you believe the virus is real or not is beside the point. The media falsely passing off footage like that is not okay.

I agee, it's a conspiracy. China would have had to been in on it. President Trump too because he's not attacking or criticizing the media's coverage, definitely not disputing or theorizing. All of the partisan drama has fallen to the wayside mysteriously quickly too. Even on ATS for example. But, I'm being sarcastic.

It's definitely real for what it is, of course the media picks pictures of packed hospitals at moments because they were camped out there before all of this quarantine and scary # got worse by the day and continues to do so. There might be a reason why involving deliberate acts of people or it might be natural. The world will never know the answer to that speculation just like 9/11. The media might be overhyping it for a reason. But left leaning and right leaning media dont both do the same thing for the same reasons because of a master plan suddenly.

Consider the fact that this threw the Democratic primary into chaos but also the rest of the election. Hopefully this will all subside in the summer? A day is going to come when the President says alright, nationwide shelter is lifted, all states follow suit with them slowly lifting like dominoes with the hardest hit last? Everyone just goes back to interacting like they did before like it never happened right away afterward? Consider the multitudes of the simps and commoners.

People are just going to put this behind them like it was a bad hurricane season like this years could be? I think this has profoundly impacted people psychologically that live and interact in cities at least, I know it's doing a strange number on me as it progresses. The fear of ending up jobless and broke at home, waiting for unemployment that takes too long to arrive is real.

Is the $1,200 like, "Here, you might not know it yet, but you're going to need this until you can get unemployment"? As the count and deaths reach their peak, do you think people will be going out even as much as they barely do now to buy pretty much anything? Groceries, gas stations and pharmacies but all stores, take out, drive thru/delivery and the like would be done.

Who's going to want to show up for primaries when the deaths get higher? Can't really have rallies of any kind with the President or a Democratic candidates. We should be good to vote in November but we'll be traumatized, depressed economically and mentally, with the weirdest election year in modern history.

The hospitals in NYC that made the news for short clips with crowded wards are real. They were already high risk hospitals that have been under the state microscope for a while. The difference between those failing hospitals and others isnt much. Problems arose at other NYC hospitals as well and so far those systemic issues are persisting as the rate of new cases increases. Thats why our governor wants to make a unified healthcare system here.

How do you know this?
Do you have video evidence of anything?
Have you gone to the hospitals and checked anything for yourself?
Why should anyone believe you?

I don’t think your opinion is any more credible than the opinions in this video. Help me understand why anyone should listen to you?

Thank you to everyone who has posted additional information in this thread. I’ve been reading but I still don’t know what to think or have anything of value to add.

People are really divided on this issue. I don't think it matters anymore whether you believe it's fake or real; it's pretty much messed up the whole world.

I have two kids working in health care; one in Seattle, one living in a rural area where the virus just hit two nursing homes. They're on the front lines, and they're both scared.

Let's just keep hoping it's nothing but hype, is all I can say.

I have the same information you do. I watch my states updates from the governor (NY). I read about updates and about treatment and propagation rates. Watch videos with footage from firsthand witnesses, of which video clips our Governor spoke about yesterday.

You need to just wait 2 weeks before patrols of hospitals will pay off one way or the other. Thats the timeframe.

Like I said in the OP I don’t have any way to draw a conclusion from what I am seeing and hearing.

But you are correct we will know more as time goes by.

I try not to let my emotions rule my decisions and rather wait until I can make full and informed observations for myself before I believe anything 100%.

Because the saying “don’t believe everything you read” can very easily be don’t believe everything you see in the news, on You Tube or on ATS.

So when someone comes at me like they have some facts I want to know why I should trust them. If they have no actual proof than that does not add to my perspective.

The second video you posted is literally refuted in the video I posted. The first video, what does that ER room look like normally? I’ve been to the ER at night and it looked just like that, long before Coronavirus.

I am not calling anything a hoax. Idk what to think or believe. When I can’t make an intelligent decision I stick with Idk because I believe that is the most intelligent response I can give.

If you would like to discuss the different conspiracy theories that run through my head as to what may or may not be happening you can make a thread and I would be more than happy to answer there. However I didn’t post this as anything other than an observation for people to draw their own conclusions from.

Notice how the whole thing has been rolled out step by step like a scripted event. In my city suddenly this week we have all these lines on the floor at the gas station and some stores have masking taped boxes to stand in so we don't get sent to the principal's office.
