Oddly and seriously, I don't even remember much beyond it didn't require any personal relationships with anyone. What I do know is there isn't any real boilerplate for what it takes, but there are a few things that will get you excluded from consideration. It's done on an as needed basis, and it's been a while since there's been a need. As long as Don't Tread on Me is here, most of the heavy lifting is handled.

Not much...one of those weird rules about being a mod is that you can’t mod a thread you participated in unless there is a reason.

It’s like how a vampire has to be invited in kinda thing but we were smart enough to leave an out In case we do...which is why mods just jump into a thread like this. We don’t discuss it, just do it so we can absolve ourselves for “planing” and even how that works is an odd mystic call as most of the threads whr try to force it to happen are either shutdown or trashed early.

I think I found the trick.

Each of you has a thread weakness, DToM is busted computers, Zaphod is airplanes, Texan is food, etc.

I just make a thread about an airplane carrying pineapples with a broken auto-pilot, you all respond, and then I take that thread to the darkest place on the internet and no blind person font will ever be posted.

Don’t try to figure out our tricks. We do timey-wimey type of things that confuse Dr Who. Like you know I have been a moderator for about ten years now. There was a thread about five years ago about how I am a staffer that doesn’t exist. And even more recently than that, our newest added moderator was a moderator before I was....

If we don’t follow the progression and flow of time itself then what makes you think you can nail us on observed patterns.
