The greatest friends you will ever have never lie to you.

They never change.

They are of your own choosing.

You can share them from the day you first met them. Again and again and again..

They can inspire you for the rest of your life.

They can come with beautiful artwork to further fuel the imagination.

They are good, bad and ugly, but that just doesn't matter. They are what they are.

I was 11 years old, it was Easter.

My father was agrophopic and feared socialising, even to the point where going to a shop to buy an easter egg for each of his three children was too much. That's OK, sad but OK.

Three kids each went out armed with a five pound note to satisfy ourselves......off I went to the sweet shop to buy my own egg.

Outside the shop was a carousel, filled with records. I'd never seen records anywhere like this before. It was treasure and my eyes were fixed and wide.

It was the beginning of a love affair with the greatest source of energy I will ever experience.

The record below was my introduction to this amazing new world.

Clutching my record, not an egg, I knew I had made a good choice.

I lay on the floor, detatched the removable speakers from our carry around record player and closed my eyes.

My eyes were opened, along with my mind, and have never closed and never will.

I'll always love my dad and his weakness became my strength. I collected albums by the armfull and glad I still have most of them.

Including my original copy of "A Day At The Races" and a Japanese virgin vinyl copy too.

In these interesting times, my music will always see me through fgor all the reasons I stated to start with above.

A hopeless romantic was born, and still soars to this day.





I also listen to EasyRockParadise most days on the internet. Today they played songs from 1965. The year this heart started beating proudly in a world of my own.

I listened to this station for twelve hours a week or so ago and not a single song I didn't like.

Rock on my friends.

Music will keep us going forever and would be the best way to communicate with aliens if we ever met them. They would perhaps be able to understand more about the natural dualistic nature of our race. Open lies designed for FEELINGS not to communicate truth.

I miss you Freddie. You will always shine like the star you were born to be.

I'm crying. I'm alive.
