Illinois is joining California (Edit to add NY and Florida) with a statewide "Shelter in Place" order. As with CA, you can still go out and get groceries, and other essential services. Its only a matter of time till its nationwide it seems. The order will go into effect on Saturday and last until April 7th unless extended further which lets face it seems likely

llinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker today issued a “stay at home” order for the entire state starting Saturday at 5 p.m. through April 7.

Pritzker said his latest decision was based on conversations with “some of the best medical experts, epidemiologists, mathematicians and modelers.”

“I’ve asked every one of these experts, What action can I take to save the most lives?’” he said. “Well, they’ve come back to me with one inescapable conclusion: To avoid the loss of potentially tens of thousands of lives, we must enact an immediate stay-at-home order for the state of Illinois.”

Really I wouldn't have thought it to be that bad there too? I guess Washington State isn't that bad if we haven't done that yet. I wonder if this whole "Shelter in place" order except for randomly appointed business has something more to it than the virus.

Re: www.worldometers.info...

Fewer than 250 deaths Nationwide since the beginning of the year and United States is shutting down state-by-state... with the biggest liberal states leading the way.

Let that sink in.

This is another installment, and the biggest so far, of the anti-trump hoaxes.

New Jersey is not far behind in the shutdown nonsense parade.

I will be out 'getting groceries' all day when it happens.

It’s a strategic lockdown..... not all at once. They just shut down the big 3 Chicago/ NYC/ LA

More will follow and besides those states being “blue” I feel partisan blame is t an issue. As we may very well be dealing with one enemy.

And not the virus; the virus is nature. Which we deal with everyday anyways

“Keep that ear to the track” as they say.....

Technically you're being told to. Most are simply obliging.

I am in Southern Illinois, and that's exactly what I was thinking. I take care of several businesses computers and networks here, as well as residences. I'll be damned if they are shutting me down without a fight.

Hey Augustus I’m hearing as early as tomorrow for that announcement for NJ. Heard it from two separate sources now. I hope it’s wrong.

I think states have been waiting for somebody else to be the first one to pull the trigger, and that’s why they’re speeding up. California is batsnip insane so they didn’t care about being the first ones to do it, and now the dam has broken.

The medical community and LE in my area has been told to expect a similar declaration any day now.

I feel the same as you and i'm from Southern Illinois as well. Seems we folks south of Chicago have a little more sense than those politicians running the state.
