Due to the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus, and subsequently the stress, fear and anxiety that this pandemic has produced — I’ve released an Executive Order:

*2pm will be instituted as the new 5pm standard, for consuming alcoholic beverages*

Due to this Executive Order, you will no longer be obligated to feel guilty For catchin’ a buzz before 5pm.

You’re welcome. 😇

Carry on. 🍻

I just hit up Coscto last night and picked up 4 giant 1.75L bottles of Scotch Whiskey - 12yr

Enjoying it every day at 3pm when my work winds down a bit.

I've been working from home for 6 months now. Been enjoying it since day 1 and now that it is a bit slower.. I am enjoying it even more!

Can you please impose a mandatory 5 drink minimum?

I don’t drink anymore, but I’ve been eying the habit up again.
I doubt I’ll be able to stand the taste of booze now, but if there’s a strict rule set I can follow, it will sure help.
(6 years sober)

Instant APPROVAL on 5 drinks minimum.

Thank you for your suggestion. Due to you being so diligent, I am offering you a position in my Cabinet.

On the second account. Your request is being processed, for further commencement of alcoholic beverages.

I only have one question for approval: Were you an angry drunk?

Went into effect Tues night..

This includes special stores like grocery stores..NO SALES OF WINE AND BEER
Bars were closed that night to enforce the Social Distance ban state wide...

Now Pennsylvania govonor Tom Wolf today has mandated

ALL NON ESSENTIAL STORES/BUSINESSES

...

SORRY FOLKS! BEER DISTRIBUTORS ORDERED CLOSED TOO....

Here's the kicker... grocery stores are empty. No meats, dairy or toilet paper.

Gov. Wolf just signed a gauranteed Domestic Dispute death warrant.

To the death of civil liberties!😝

Was only till April 1st.. now to be extended.

One shouldn't let minor details like the time of day interfere with one's drinking.

Hon, MI is closer.
While we have no tp, no bread, no eggs (HA I have chickens!), we have booze everywhere.

And OP, if your not living by the "It's 5 o'clock somewhere" rule, your not living. LOL

In a state where it is dark by 5 in the winter, we had to find another rule to survive.

Your EO appears to be dovetailing nicely with breaking news for the few of us in America that are still employed...

OMG I want one of those flamingos!! LOL

@ Lum, that would be great, if our bars were still open!!! Now, I only have the hubby to drink with. Well, and the neighbors, as long as they sit 6 feet away.

Point taken.

I live in Montana and my little town has closed down everything except essential services.

So the courthouse is closed, our one restaurant is carryout only in the morning, real estate agency closed, other businesses closed...

Our essential services appear to be the grocery store, the pharmacy, the gas station, the liquor store and all three bars.

Priorities!!!

I'm moving to Montana!

Having written that, a Frank Zappa song comes to mind... "I'm moving to Montana soon, to be a dental floss tycoon."

Any pygmy ponies out that way?

Bummer. Here in New Hampshire, the governor has allowed bars and restaurants to deliver beer and wine.
I think the hope is it may help them keep people employed at those establishments.
