So they are not dying but the young are getting seriously ill.

And MRI's are overwhelmingly showing they end up with permanent lung damage.

Yes but they all seemingly had serious pre-existing health issues.

I'm ill now with what might be the virus, I'm worried for the elderly and disabled but I seriously agree with the op. This is being blown out of proportion for it's actual effects.

The economical effects will be more devastating. Unless this virus takes a serious turn.

Where are you getting this information?

Is it actual case studies with history of the patient and the likes?

I hear things like this but I'm yet to see actual evidence.

I agree with you that this is a very grave disease for many involved (although am also grieved at people's callousness toward the elderly and immuno-compromised throughout this crisis. Imagine beating cancer only to have some cavalier youth give you a fatal case of COVID-19.)

Here are two pictures which should say it all:

Stock photo of doctors treating the flu or common cold:

Stock photo of doctors treating the coronavirus:

How many differences can you spot?

Stay safe my friend. There are plenty of people who do value the lives of older generations. I'm sorry they are not being more vocal.

Stay home, reach out to family.

I'm 29, I'll most likely do fine but I know people personally who this will devastate. They need to say safe, not just from this virus but most of them tbh. I said safe guard the vulnerable and isolate them since quarantine became a real possibility.

In the UK they're closing schools tomorrow... A LOT of working people rely on parents to look after their grandkids. I mean the nation started closing down a week ago (you might've seen) but keeping schools open so long is going to get people killed. Hygiene wise kids are usually the worst especially the young. In the UK infection spikes tend to happen when kids go back to school.

Anyways. With most people not going to work over the next few weeks I dare say there's little excuse for not helping others out. Though people can be very selfish

Maybe... just maaaaaaybe... if you're so old and sick that catching a mild strain of the flu kills you, then it's your time to go.

I have posted the original article I saw that I sent to my MD friend, before. I'll repost it here.

www.thesun.co.uk...

I'll check after posting that it is still there. It is. You can backtrack it and google it and get other sources.

FYI: Just got a message from our MD friend, he is quitting the task force, taking his RV and heading out to a remote area. He and his wife have no health issues I know of, besides their age, and they are bugging out. THIS IS TOTALLY TRUE, my husband just got an email from him.

A mild strain of flu can wreck anybody's day given the right circumstances.

Where's your cut off line? Because it wasn't that long ago people of all ages dropped left right and center to disease.

So what? No medical intervention after 30? I mean if you got diabetes, cancer or any other issue you were probably doomed anyways right?

More than 99% of Italy’s coronavirus fatalities were people who suffered from previous medical conditions

just three victims, or 0.8% of the total, had no previous pathology. Almost half of the victims suffered from at least three prior illnesses

The average age of those who’ve died from the virus in Italy is 79.5

All of Italy’s victims under 40 have been males with serious existing medical conditions.

the country’s death rate closer to the global average of about 2%

Source

We have some new information coming out of Italy about the deaths of those infected with Covid-19. Once again, we can see that the danger of this virus is being blown massively out of proportion. The overwhelming majority of people who are dying are elderly people with other pre-existing conditions; in fact, ALL of the victims who died under the age of 40 had other serious existing medical conditions. Only 3 victims total, THREE, had no previous pathology. The people dying of this virus are the same people at risk of dying of any other virus, like the flu.

This virus is not some global humanity-ending apocalypse.

It's the Boomer Doomer.
All this hysteria and over reaction over a virus. Morons.
I can understand the need to flatten the curve to help with hospital beds, but come on.......a global financial collapse???

Hi there Ray

I'm sorry to hear you're feeling unwell. A good friend of mine also most likely caught coronavirus and has since recovered (she's 32 and otherwise healthy), and I certainly think you and many others will be fine.

I share your hope that this will spark more community and togetherness. I'm sure if this continues to escalate we'll see the best and worst of humanity.

Can you believe that my school (a private international school) is plowing ahead despite a government ban and asking the teachers and adult students to come in to discuss our new online learning? I think it's pretty reckless considering a lot of our staff are older or help care for older relatives. I just hope that the gamble pays off and no one gets ill.

Take care, my friend! I will indeed stay connected to friends and community. Maybe we can learn something through the upcoming madness. I plan to garden again; are you growing anything?

That sounds crazy. Forgive me for taking that with a grain of salt. You are a stranger on a conspiracy site after all.

Thanks, I'll check your link when you post it. The last was about HIV drugs and a couple of others showing promise.

This is a virus though, some antivirals should work. People see the HIV and think OMG but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

How heartless.

My best friend has had cancer and is now cancer free, but her kidneys are damaged from the chemo.

Her daughter and son-in-law work full time.

My best friend helps with their son who has had and is getting much better from mental health issues in elementary school. Thank goodness they have found the right meds. Plus she drives her other grandson back and forth to help for dyslexia.

The statement that maybe, "it's her time to die" will cause huge family issues.

Just because we are old and have other issues, doesn't mean we should die or that we are useless to society.

I drive my grandkids to lots of stuff after school and do after school activities pickup from Jr. Hi. My daughter and son-in-law work full time too. I'm the emergency help for everything. I run errands to help them spend more time at home rather than running errands when they aren't at work. But I should just give up and die?

Really? Because I recently had shoulder surgery and am still in recovery, thus have another health issue.

Right now the regular flu could kill either of us, which is why we always get vaccinated, and early in the season.

Heartless, really heartless.

Where is this talk of HIV coming from? This is the first place I've heard that. HIV is an immune system virus. Ok, I get that. Anti-virals for HIV might be helping with the Covid19 virus. I get that too, but we've also been told that the Malaria anti-viral is helping as well, so are we going to start calling it Covid/HIV/Malaria virus now? Come on. I'm starting to doubt the accuracy and/or legitimacy of most of the posts here.

Hey

The symptoms have been very mild for me, basically like a cold with half the symptoms but a bit more tiredness.

In my opinion many things could go on as normal in theory, the biggest issue is trusting people. I hope if any of the students or staff show signs of illness they isolate. People can be remarkably ignorant and inconsiderate though.

I'm not gardening at the moment but I certainly plan on going all out this year! I've joined a local gardening project and hopefully after most of this has blown over it'll start to pick up. It's been a good winter for planting bulbs and such so I really should get to it.

Always good to hear from you
I hope all is well

Reliable sources found 4 insertions in the spike glycoprotein (S) which are unique to the 2019-nCoV and are not present in other coronaviruses. Most interestingly, amino acid residues in all the 4 inserts have identity or similarity to those in the HIV-1 gp120 or HIV-1 Gag.

It's ok you don't believe me, but do a little research before insulting people please.

I know how it sounds. I know it is a little unbelievable who my friend is, but it is true. You are free to mock me and disbelieve.

I just hope when the truth comes out in 5-20 years you will come back and apologize.

Although it may not come out entirely. China has a way of "disappearing" people who try to get the truth out.
www.freemalaysiatoday.com...
www.newswars.com...
cpj.org...
Please research this more before scoffing.

China is putting pressure on the World Health Organization, research that too, you don't have to believe me.

China is deflecting blame by saying US soldiers snuck the virus into Wuhan and released it. They are telling their citizens this and the world. Research this too, please don't believe me. This is a conspiracy theory that is not to be believed for sure.

Wuhan where it all started has a bio-weapons facility and that town is well known for bio research. Check it out, please don't believe me.

China has an enormous elderly population problem, check it out for yourself, don't believe me. That is fine.

Mao bragged about killing 700thousand of his citizens for disagreeing with him politically. Pure socialist and communist countries do not hesitate to kill as many people as they feel necessary for the "good of society and the good of their country". Check this out too. They didn't blink an eye or hesitate to drag screaming pregnant women for forcible abortions even in the 9th month, millions of them. Check this out for yourself. They would not hesitate to think of a way to kill the elderly who are an issue for their society. But with the high respect the people have for the elderly they HAVE to do it in a way that no one in their society would suspect or risk a violent revolution. A virus that basically only kills the elderly is perfect for a communist country with an issue of way too many elderly to support. That is logical to the max in a pure socialist/communist country.

Think man, think.

I suppose knowing who I know is hard to believe, I accept that, but it is true.

One more conspiracy theory: The truth is less likely to come out now because of the social credit score system created by Google and instituted in China where ALL citizens are monitored 24/7. Please don't believe me on this one. Google has said they stopped helping China, but the executives have not promised not to reopen the research for China or other countries. Don't google this, go to Go Duck Go or other non-google related sites. Google highly censors it's results and this is well known. Again research that, not on google but another search site, don't believe me please. www.businessinsider.com...
www.wired.co.uk...
www.vox.com...
www.theguardian.com...

I imagine Chinese trolls and Chinese paid internet writers are working 24/7 to do their best to destroy the truth and put out their crazy theory as "the truth."

It's pretty factual rather than heartless. Everyone has a shelf life.

Do you have your source for 40% being young people admitted to hospital. Everything I can see shows no where near this.

I went back and could not find anything that even vaguely related to your post except for saying I thought your stance was heartless to "allow people to die" because of the "shelf life".

Perhaps you mixed me up with someone else's post.

I highly doubt China would develop a virus to trim down their large elderly population, although I wouldn't be completely shocked if they did. It probably escaped from the Wuhan lab accidentally, China certainly reacted to it as if they had just let a bio-engineered virus into the wild. There was also at least one scientist at that lab working with different bat Coronaviruses. People say "how can it be a bioweapon if it's not much worse than a flu?", well I didn't say it was a bioweapon, I said it's an experimental virus which was created while studying the immune system of bats. The fact China would even dare to suggest US soldiers snuck the virus into Wuhan is a big hint they're trying to cover up their negligence.
