I'm merely pointing out that based on 2 separate prophesies in the Bible it would appear if the Apocalypse of Revelation is going to occur then it looks like that it's going to occur in the 2020s. My Father has been anxiously awaiting the whole end of the world predictions since the late 1980's. I was told things will get much worse than they were in the 80's, I am 43 btw.

36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

What specifically is this verse referring to? The first event of the Apocalypse. But what is that? This verse.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

While there is no way to tell when this event happened there is enough information in Chap. 24 to determine if it's running however.

These events happen before the Apocalypse.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

And these events happen afterwards.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

And what is the fig tree? The nation of Israel. Read all of the fig tree parables available to us.


Luke 21.
29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

The fig tree being Judah and the rest of the trees being the other nations descended from Israel.

Luke 13

6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Matthew 21

19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

According to Genesis 48 and 49 the children of Israel were to become nations. With Ephraim becoming a multitude of nations.

And in the book of Hosea we find the Day of Jezreel prophecy that predicts that Israel and Judah were to face a two thousand year top level Leviticus 26 curse. So it only stands to reason that the creation of a nation of Israel in 1948 was the 2nd fig leaf of the "Generation". The Apocalypse has been running for 72 years at least and your contention is 72 years out of date.
