use a song (that is under Copyright)
practice law

fly a plane
practice medicine

export
manufacture
build a house
run a pub
breed dogs
own a dog
get married
operate a forklift
own a firearm
carry a firearm
and many things I'm not thinking of at the moment... but ANY IDIOT can have a child!

I do believe that raising a child is way more important than ANY of the things listed above.. but we let any moron have as many kids as they want?

Is it me, or is there something seriously wrong with this??

I want a pilot or driver to be licensed....
The other stuff is just a proof of paying taxes.

But I kinda agree on the kid thing.

Most of those are potentially dangeous things, and it's important that they should be limited to people who know what they're doing (from medicine, hunting, flying, practising law--- including marriage?). Or just limited in number, like running pubs. Paying for songs and software is a kind of rental agreement, not imposed by government as such. You missed out "operating a device capable of receiving television signals".

While I agree, would you really want the government to have MORE authority over you parenting rights? Because that is exactly what would happen. Take a good hard look at our educational system and what has happened to it since the feds took over.

I have never lived anywhere I needed a license to grow food as long as I didn't violate other laws. Unless you're living in one of the nanny states you shouldn't even need a license to sell whole, unprocessed, produce directly to consumers. Hunting and fishing are indigenous rights. Some places also have reasonable laws for sustainance hunting and fishing. It may be under "compassionate" something but I can't remember.

No, Procreation is a natual must.

Rights have nothing to do with it unless we consider someone who has no genitals or reproductive organs.

A lot of people have messed up and or stupid parents. A lot of people with stupid and or messed up parents turn out just fine. Some don't but I'd say most do.

I think if we start regulating if people can breed or not then we will be opening up a can of worms when it comes to legislating the laws surrounding the mess. And also even if we could get through that headache we would likely have a new problem. The country wouldn't be having enough babies to sustain the population. I suppose we could fill that void with immigration but why give immigrants a right to come here if even our own citizens aren't allowed to fill the void?

As many bad parents as there is out there I think they ultimately just give this country some flavor overall.

drive a car .... I learned to drive in a classic car in the grounds of the flat I lived in. I was about 8.
drive a motorcycle ... there are no licenses for "driving" a motorcycle. Just "riding".
drive a truck ... only if it is to be driven on a public road.
fish ... only if it is water that NEEDS a license.
sell real estate .. anyone can sell a house, only proffessionals can do the administration.
buy a gun ... I bought a hot air gun about six weeks ago.
use software ... I haven't paid for software in decades but enjoy using lots of programs.
use a trademark ... Correct.
use a song (that is under Copyright) ... Correct.
practice law ... We all practice law all the time. It's called morality and a conscience.
sell alcohol ... Wanna buy a beer?
fly a plane ... What about my little RC Cessna?
practice medicine ... I need a paracetamol.

run a pub ... WHY? I'd rather be on the other side of the bar.
breed dogs ... Only if you wish to sell them.
own a dog ... Nobody OWNS another anything.
get married ... Not enough licences needed.
operate a forklift ... I got in trouble when I was younger after I hit the bosses car.
own a firearm .... This is France, a land of shotguns, many get handed down through the generations.
carry a firearm ... In public, yes.

I am being realistic.

The second word could perhaps have been "may".

I'm glad I don't need a licence to say I LOVE YOU.

I'd also say that would depend on any siblings too. I'd also say it's possible for a child to have the momentum to SOAR if they find the strength to overcome a messed up family.

In a way we do. Almost any website you visit has a T&C page. "By using this site you agree....." you don't have to sign anything, just log on....
