Funny thing is at the time the actual mainland brits loved coffee more then tea...

Honestly, when you look at the whole tea situation it was probably just a money laundering or racketeering front. A reason for the EIC to keep up their corrupt business practices.

wait so what this thread is saying is that Bernie has a clear majority, right? He's got a comfortable lead in the black vote and 75% from democrats overall? So your figures agree, Bernie is the way to go?

Bwhahahaha !!!

Anybody that would describe themselves as a conservative would never vote for an admitted socialist..

Well luckily Bernie isn't anywhere near being a socialist... both in practice or "admitted". Seems to be doing capitalism pretty well these days if the his last book is any measure.

That's assuming he practices what he preaches.
Just like all those celebrities telling me about my carbon footprint from their private jets and massive yachts...

I think it was a false flag to launch a revolution. I know this cuz i have been a member of ATS since 2007. AND, I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last nite.

The EIC was like the modern day google..peeps had some serious pull.

Well he isn't preaching socialism either sooooo that seems to be a non-issue.

But I know y'all are looking for one little hole in the lefty person so you can call them out and negate everything they have ever done. Funny how that isn't practiced when it comes to the leaders on the right. It certainly isn't for lack of examples.

That's exactly how the left operates. You are fooling yourself if you claim otherwise just as you are fooling yourself by claiming Bernie isn't socialist. Of course he is, but really, who gives a crap? If you want to claim otherwise, go right ahead, but that's not the issue here. That argument is essentially over. The point, as the OP title suggests, is to vote for Bernie to give him the nomination, then watch him pull a McGovern.

A vote for Bernie in the Primary is a vote for Trump in the General.

This is merely a bunch of doom-porn boogieman talk. Nowhere has Bernie ever advocated for the demise of private ownership or private business and that all means of production be transferred to the workers. Ever. That being the basic tenet of socialism, and nothing Bernie has ever said would even allude to this being what would happen.

The facts are the issue. Not 'red scare' fear mongering. Bernie is still just a centrist candidate by any world measure.

Sorry, but I cannot in good conscience vote for anyone who promises to take away our Constitutional rights. No matter the reason.

As I have stated many times...
The good folks in the Democratic Party are abandoning it.
The majority of the ones left are far left liberal socialist anarchists .
Just like Bernie.
(actually , I was there once. For a time when young)

Are you sure? This comes from his Wikipedia page, and it sounds to me like he is saying exactly that.

As early as 1976, Sanders proposed workplace democracy, saying, "I believe that, in the long run, major industries in this state and nation should be publicly owned and controlled by the workers themselves."

In 1987, Sanders defined democracy as public ownership and workers' self-management in the workplace, stating that "Democracy means public ownership of the major means of production, it means decentralization, it means involving people in their work. Rather than having bosses and workers it means having democratic control over the factories and shops to as great a degree as you can."

You do realize that was tongue-in-cheek don’t you ?

Well kind of anyway.

If I could vote Democratic in the primaries and Republican and a GE.

I probably would .

You can...unless different states have different rules? In IL, you have to choose a party for primaries, but can vote for whoever you want in the general election.

Bernie states very clearly multiple times that he’s a democratic socialist..

That’s like a turd but with sprinkles to make it more appealing.

And Bernie has never done anything except live off the government’s teet.
He’s managed to accumulate quite a fortune as a professional politician.

There are of course plenty of examples of the right being just as useless but since this thread was about Bernie I didnt feel the need to express that fact.

Actually what this thread is saying. Is that Bernie has probably the lowest numbers ever for three key groups. Blacks, independents and democrats . Along with the largest number of Democrats willing to vote cross party that I’ve ever seen .,

Go Bernie !
